I built these when I was about 13-14 yrs old.I missed out on some prime socializing years of my life building models like these.....but ohwell.....BTW I`m 25 now.... I built several others, but these are my favorites! Sorry for the poor picture quality.
very cool! I wasted a lot of good real car building time on my collection too. Back when I was a kid{geeeze! That sounds like I'm 150 or sumthin}1:25 scale cars were $1.69 and you could build them "one of three ways". And have lots of cool parts left over for the next project! Now,the damn things are $15.99 and all you can do is stock! I still got most of mine though.
Dude, when I was a kid I lived for buildin models. My parents used to tell me to "Get out of your room and hang out with the rest of us" I would work on those lil cars and trucks for days. Im 39 yrs old now, Its all the same p***ion for cars, they are just bigger.
I spent every dime I made on models when I was a kid also. I still have them somewhere in the ba*****t. Lucky my mom never threw them out like a lot of my buddies moms did. Dont look at them but every 10 years but I will never be able to part with them, too many good memories!
I started building models about 1959---5 years old if your counting. I built models to learn about cars--and did I ever!By the time I was 14 or 15, I started on full size cars. Got back into models about 5 years ago--I have a small shop for my 1:1 cars and my condo garage is my model shop. So I work at my shop on my 3 cars and then go home and play at the model bench for a little while.Problem is--i got like 10 prjects going on my bench--but haven't finished many.
