I passed on a free 32 Coupe about four years ago. A friend of mine called me up and asked me if I wanted it. I said "no, can't afford anything else right now". So I called a friend who called a friend and he was in Bakersfield about three hours later and picked it up. FREE! My real regret.

I've sold a bunch that didn't matter, always made room for new projects but...
56 Ford Victoria, had to sell to give divorce lawyer a retainer (1st wife)
36 Ford 5 window, had to sell to give divorce lawyer a retainer (2nd wife)
59 El Camino, daily driver immeadately after 2nd wife, took off and spent 3 weeks on Cali beaches with it, best trip of my life, more fun then any car I've owned, maybe it wasn't the car but the lifestyle that went with it I miss.

The only car I ever sold was the '69 camaro that I drove in high school. Less than 6 months after it sold, the buyer's kid wrecked it street racing it. Thats why I never let anything go. It would break my heart to see something I put alot of time in wrecked or even worse, with 22" billet wheels. If I had to sell something I would make sure it went out of state, so I would never see what someone does to it.

My 51 chevy truck. It was my first hotrod. Man the times we had in that truck in highschool. Every time I see a 51, I check under the rear end to see if it has a section of railroad track welded in as a crossmember. (Did that to add weight to the tail) Have'nt seen it yet.
Pop musta towed me home 20 times in that truck.

Probably one of the dumbest things I've done, as an adult, is let my first '55 get away.

Before I turned 16, my dad bought me a 55 Bel Air 2 door hardtop, complete, with a 327 and I believe a th350. It needed some work to get it going...I was young and dumb and thought it needed 'too much work' so I traded him for a little 4x4 truck (I won't say what kind for fear of getting lynched) before my 16th birthday. I see pics of it now and it nearly brings a tear to my eye...I really would love to get a hold of another one, but they are way too expensive now...DAMN!!!

Later, I had a 60 El Camino that I sold ... kinda regret that one too...

My first car, which was a '50 Ford Club Coupe, my '56 Chevy 210 2-door sedan, and my '67 'Vette roadster. The rest don't bother me.

  26. It is. It showed up at Detroit 2 years ago with some God-aweful additions (seen in pix) but I know it is floating around the eastern part of the US these days

    Miss a few like:
    27 Ford Track Roadster built by my Indy Car buddies;
63 slammed Rivi (dry as a bone in Copper)
    chopped 40 coupe
    50 Ford Shop Truck
62 Impala wagon (but sold to may pal Wayne who is a rightful owner!)
But, like most guys, we do this for a reason at cetain points in our lives and thinking where I put the dough from these, my family is better off!
Still got my 40 Tudor hot rod and 51 F-1...and my great family! I am blessed!!!! (and damn lucky)
