    Hi guys...

I'm wondering where to look to buy some new brushes for my disc grinder. It is a pre-historic black and decker, strong as an ox sort.

Could you point me to where I can buy some? I don't mind doing some file work to get them to fit.

    Thanks

  2. Possibly Grainger? They have a huge selection of replacement motors and associated parts.

Try a GOOD hardware store, "not Home Depot" they should have some.

  5. napa carries some. get on google and punch in "black and decker service" that should bring up service locations in your area.

I get my brushes from a local builders merchant that has a repair shop.
They don't always have what I need, but I can generally solder bits together swap springs and sand stuff down 'till I get what I need.

I used brushes from a CS 130 GM alternater in my sawsall a few years ago and its still running fine. Any alternater repair shop should have something similar you can modify.

My local Sears hardware store still has a decent selection of the littel trays with odds and ends. I noticed just yesterday that they had a tray with nothing but brushes of different shapes and sizes.

Any hardware store with Dreml supplies will stock brushes for a dreml. Allot of brushes are pretty standard, you might give them a look.
