Dan Collins built it. A young guy named Rob has it now. He's from Detroit area and is part of the Draggins Car Club. This car is part of the reason I built mine.

I think that is the one that I saw Dan driving in a music video. I cannot remember the video though. He told me which one last Friday while talking to him at Bobs. I must be getting old.....KNUX!

I saw the video too. Before I got it and I never found out which one it was. What video is it? Let me know. Dan was gonna get me a copy of it but he never got around to it because he was moving at the time I asked him about it.

I have got some videos I will post soon on You Tube of the car from when I put the new motor in. The motor is pretty radical now 64 327, 202 heads ,SUPER lumpy Schneider cam ( had to put polyurethane motor mounts on it the motor was about to rip out the frame at an idle) as well as a bunch of other stuff. Me and Bill from our club tore the whole car apart and redid everything. I love the car and still can't beleive I own it, my jaw dropped when I saw it in the video on MTV. About 6 months later I had it my garage and was baffled sitting and starring at it for days. I need to contact Dan and ask him which Ben Harper video the car was in. I talk to him every now and then and am glad he sold me the car. I always let everyone know I got it from him. And yes it will always be know as Dan Collins roadster. I have kept the car the same since I got it execpt for the mechanicals because of all the history and publicity it has. I tried looking through the Ben Harper videos on You Tube and couldn't take it anymore Ben Harper's music is not my thing I'd rather watch paint dry. This is the first time I have posted a picture mabey it 'll show up. This is a picture of the car from the Eyes on Design Show at the Edsel Ford mantion lawn. It was weird to have the car there there were million dollar coach built cars and all kinds of cl***ic Ferarris and expensive stuff. There were about 6 or 7 cl***ic Hot Rods picked for the show it happened while we were at Autorama in 2006. It was a pretty s****y event.

Dan did not build that car..he bought it from Buddy Dughi,,and I think he
bought it off of John Labelle (who owns the Kookie Clone)..

I use to see that car in Cali like 10 years ago and I would stare at it for hours. Still one of my favorites.

I've admired this car several times. I've seen in on this board a few times. It sure sits right.

Look forward to the videos. And now I gotta find this video you guys are talking about and watch it.

haha, yeah, Evel is CORRECT sir! well almost, I traded a car to Buddy for it, and I changed some stuff on it and drove the hell out of it, I guess that's why everyone knows it as mine. But John Labelle picked it up as an unfinished project in Paso years ago, then buddy got it, and then me. The Ben Haper video was "Faded" and I think someone posted it here on the HAMB not long ago. (it's black n white) whats up Rob? glad to see yer still drivin the T. I still miss that car. wait till ya see the one I'm buildin now.....

I have attached a couple of links one is of the 22 right after I put the new 327 in with the 2.02 heads and Schneider cam. This video was from taking it out for the first drive after breaking in the cam. Check it out. I also put a link to my myspace page there are more pictures of the car there. I said I was going to do this a while ago so here it is.

John Dejeer built it. Same guy who built Kutty's F-100. John La Bell bought it at Paso, sold it to Buddy, then Dan got it etc.

Its a Scneider 288H . One of the baddest grinds I have ever had. It has a lot of low end punch. Its so lumpy I had to replace the rubber motor mounts with poly-eurothane mounts because the motor was all over in the frame when it idled the fuel pump was hitting the frame rail. They make some killer cams I have one in the nailhead in my shoebox too. They are really cool to deal with.
