Im headin down to MS. we'll keep our eyes peeled. What's the lic. plate Number? Still running the same parts as pictured? (steelies and all) Hope you find it! If me and a pal find the guy, his Kin will be the next to know. No waiting to make a HAMB party (sorry guys. Stealing a guys Rod is about as low as it gets in my book.)
I looked at that car on Ebay too. It had some artwork by our own Tingler across the dashrail. DId the missing car have anything like that?
I think some one else already asked but I'm gonna ask plainer this time,Is there any thing on the car that is an unquestionable identifiying feature if the car is seen or someone trips across something for sale? The car from the alluded to post that was going to get it's fenders off is not the same car unless some one took the time to put bumpers and what looks like Cali or vintage Ok. tags on it.
Im east of Dallas, I'll keep an eye out for it too. I have a friend in Keller. The truck he had just about finished restoring was stolen out of his driveway several months ago, and has yet to be found. I will tell him to watch for it as well. I hate f--king thieves.
there's nothing worse than a theif ! man, that really sucks the big one. if someone stole my car, and i found them...i'd end up in prison, because i'd kill the peice of shit.
When ya find the prick off with his nuts. Man anyone that would steal a guys ride is pretty low. Sorry for your loss. John
I'm pretty sure that car above is not this one. After Jim and I drove to Bonneville, he contiued on to Seattle and took the ferry to Alaska. Drove around Alaska in the A with his wife for a couple weeks. Some distinguishing features: -still has the same steelies and radial tires -Trailer hitch as seen in the pic with the teardrop -All the wiring is red wire. -It has AC -Drop axle, disc brakes, Polished SS 4 bars -The column drop is a piece of allthread with about 100 washers -Dash has a round spedometer and one multi gage -Automatic shifter is a slider bar on the left side of the dash, not on the floor or column. -white bench seat with red piping -Interior garnish moldings are red. -There is NO pinstriping or artwork on this car -"Tanks" fuel tanks under the running board aprons. Attached is the plate and a contact number for Jim if you find anything. Thanks for all your support and help, I hope it is recovered. He did have it insured, but not for full value.
I've been told by friends in law enforcement that usually when "antique or specialty" vehicles are stolen they were usually stolen for a "buyer". He has seen attempts to ship stuff overseas, especially with Harley's and Hot Rod's. They told me there are guy's who actually put out "want lists" and their thieves will go look for it. I hope this isn't the case with this car, he said there is a small chance of ever catching these guy's, they have their shit together.
THE HAMB IS WORLD-WIDE!!................. lets get this car FOUND!!!!!!!! from the description its pretty distinctive
Im with you, world wide,we can find this ride,if it was one of our rides we would do what ever it takes, lets do it for somebody else.
Nope...never showed up and never heard of any parts of it being sold.. If they find these thieves, I believe hands should be removed.....
