...what life has in store for you. For the last three months I have been helping a friend (Berky) work on his 38 Ford pick up. He has been here nights and weekends working on the truck. It is his first Hot Rod. He has been doing a lot because my back is bad and I'm limited to what I can do. The truck is just about ready to hit the road. It runs and drives. He has driven it from bay to bay in the garage but not any distances. Plans were to paint the rear fenders and running boards this weekend and get it ready to roll for a small car show next weekend. Plans have changed. Berky was in a bad accident on Friday. Some asshole kid ran a stop sign and T boned his truck on the driver side. He is fighting for his life right now. I worry with every phone call that comes that it could be bad news. He is a fighter and I think he will pull through. He has his truck to look forward to when he gets well. I will try to finish his truck this week even though he will not be there to help. I will miss his big smile that he had every time we got something done. I would like to be able to take it to the hospital for him when he is ready to for it. Sorry to bring bad news to this great message board. Everybody should enjoy what you have today ,cause you never know when some asshole will fuck up tommorrow. Clark

Really sorry to hear about your buddy's misfortune Clark. I think having the truck outside his hospital window will be a great help towards a speedy recovery. Good luck to you and best wishes to your buddy. Dennis

Good looking truck. I like the way the flames flow from the hood side vents. I wish your friend well. Here's hoping the back gets better. You and Berky got that ol Ford coming along. Jim
No one will ever expect, or get used to things like this. Hope he pulls through, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. Geno
