I remembered today about this set up.. when installing your lighting in the shop center the overhead lites so they shine thru the windows of the door when the door is up.. now working at night with the big door open(no bugs yet) will be a little brighter ...set other lites up so they shine under your hood when up and slightly over your shoulder on the bench.. some on the wall help body work and interior work.. painting all interior area with paint found at the recycling center or garage sales will help brighten it up too.. any lite color on the ceiling helps cheap can lighting eliminate wacked bulbs keepin the ceiling clutter free elimnate shadows too good luck paperdog
I put switches on the ceiling attached to my lights that operate each light individually, along with the main wall switch. This way in the summer when I have the door open I just turn off the lights that are above the door. But I have a slight advantage in that it never gets dark here in the summer so maybe it wouldn't work so great for everybody. lol
