Was waisting time at work looking for some RAT ROD ideas and stumbled across the H.A.M.B. and thaught to myself, "Self we need to hang out here." Self agreed and so I did the registration thingy. I am collecting ideas for a 1931 Chevy 3-Window Coupe that I picked up many years ago. It is to far gone for a restore so I want to "Ratstore". I am a collector of the Diecast Muscle Machines. So of course my "Ratstore is gonna have a big HUFFER on the small block. The era of my "Ratstore" is late 50's. I allready have a 4" dropped front axle and a 57 chevy rear end complete with posi. But I'm debating Leafs on all corners or coil over. Need ideas for wheels, brakes, steering, trans (4-speed or powerglide). That kind of stuff. 50's Era of course. I was born in 1967 so I wasn't around to enjoy the rat rods. If some of the Old Timers stumble across this thread and have some ideas or pics please let me know.
Thanks for the Welcome, Kurt. Got lots of ideas and questions. I'm gonna get out in the barn this weekend and drag out the 31. Get some pics up so I can start askin questions.
