Hi guys, thot I'd give a little update on our new show comin up on June 9th, the "S**** Drive. " in Belvidere, Illinois.

We are pleased to announce that the "Hot Rod Hucksters " band from the Chicago area are booked to play at our show. A lot of you guys will remember they played at the Hunnert Car Pileup a couple years ago. We are lookin forward to havin them at our show.

We will also have a group of pinstripers on hand to lay some lines on your ride, or ? They will do a Striper's Jam in the afternoon, striping numerous items which will then be auctioned off.

Also, SoCal Speed Shop of Illinois, from Yorkville, Illinois, will be setting up in the swap area, along with other vendors.

If anyone needs more info on our show, check out our post in the HAMB calendar of events; under June 9th, 2007.
    More updates later. ...Thanks

Rusty1, the boys in Amboy are really excited for this show. The flyers are as far south as Springfield and I will be in St Lous soon and will drop a few off their.

    37 rat,
The show is a traditional rod/rat rod 64 and older show. There will be parking on the grounds for "other" 64 and older rides (like that ugly yellow thing on the links page of the web site). The web master needs to be educated about our style cars.

For those of you that have never been to the Boone County Fair grounds in Belividere, it a great place to have a car show. There is going to be food, stripers, a swap, real music, and a bunch of cool cars and people and who knows what else. Your entry fee gets you, your car (64 and older), an adult p***enger and two kids in. Spectators are just $5 each. There will be NO beer for sale on the grounds. We are suppose to tell you that no beer is allowed, but I ain't looking in your cooler, just be cool about it.

Rusty1 says he is going to be there by 6:30 am, so you early birds should be able to get right in. Gene

Look up the Bombers in STL. They were at the Pileup. Nice guys, too.

You need to correct your website. It looks like you're saying you WANT cars like that yellow one there and that it is "traditional"

We have been trying to "convince" the web guy to change the site, but haven't gotten it through to him yet.....Maybe we heed to take a more positive approch, like a bat or something? Believe it or not, the guy has gotten about 50 pictures and those are the ones he choose.

...I think Gene has the right idea, we need to use a baseball bat , first; to get our webmaster's attention; then second;to beat some sense into him!! That "yellow car" got on there because one of our members owns a fabrication shop that did some work on that car. Our webmaster is new to all this so he just put up some pics that he had available. We WILL clue him in, one way or nother!!

...just got some info from our website guru, he had our site "fixed"
(I.E., ...got rid of that yellow car! on our home-page), but then our server/host had problems on their end; our site was down for a day or two; then when it came back on it reverted back to a previous date.
Now we gotta wait to do any further site additions/subtractions til we get the OK to do so.
And yes, that yellow 32 was a Hopperstad project. Hop does amazing work and is a member of our club.

Alright Django. That will be kool. Another good reason to show up at the S**** Drive.

  24. Wow, I gotta check the events page more often. This show is just down the street from me. I'll be there!

The Hot Rod Hucksters are my favorite band next to Led Zepplin and Maroon 5. :D

    Should be a great time!

    wow, Joel... Thanks!

The rough cut of the cd sounds REALLY good, so I know the final version won't disappoint. 12 songs, including 9 Django/OleMuleSKinner originals and 2 of the covers are kind of obscure. Lots of great driving songs!
