59 ford P/U door popper question

    sorry about the ***le its a apache My buddy has a 59 chevy pickup with shaved handles but no door poppers yet. I was wondering how you guys have done it since the metal door panel isnt removable. Any ideas would be helpful, thanks

    Kind of tacky, but you can put it in the rocker or door jamb.....
    Thats how I did it.

    Had a 59 back in the late 80's when they were the ugliest thing on the planet. Chopped it, shaved it, no vent gl***, 3 wipers, on and on.... anyway I used one of those cone shaped hood springs and bolted it inside the center door hinge bolt. You know the one way back in the jamb. Just trim it until you get the pressure you want. Worked great and you can't see it way back in the hinge area.:)

    Guys I'm talking about the solenoids to open the doors by remote, not springs and stuff to push the door open once its unlatched
