Can I make an observation without seeming critical?
I would stretch the rear qtr windows LENGTH a couple inches,improving the overall look and therefore narrowing the side profile of the rear C pillar.....again- just an opinion.

OK here are the new pics. they dont look very diffrent but now things are welded into place.

Choprods i take any thing you say very serious and i have been looking at what you said all morning. I just went and got some poster board to make the c-pillar to get a better look at where things are going. I know what i want the car to look like in my head but i have to make sure your not right. Cause i see what your saying and im glad you said something. O yea and its my third chop, herpie, 51 ford and now this. and i got to do some work on the Detroit hamb chop and i learned so much on that car, working with the older more wiser hambers.

As of right now im not happy with the chop. I feel as though i took more out then i had wanted. If you put a picture of this car next to a pic of the herpie its all most the same chop. I wanted this one to be taller but i will have to work with what i did. Its very hard to get the proportions how i want them when i have no room to step back and look. Thats why i keep pushing it out side but to little to late i guess.

I may lay the back window down more and just make a herpie clone. i dunno i have alot of staring and thinking to do for the next few hours.

and on a side note here is me in a very small lion costume i found cleaning out my girlfriends moms house last week. Its the greatest thing ever. ive been wearing the hat around all week cause its warm and its bad ***. Fathack bet me i couldnt fit into the costume.. he was right hahaha. It was very painfull and split the boys right down the middle.

 

I dunno...I don't think you're too far off the mark. All I did here was fill in da gap with a little paint, and drop the thing a little. I wouldn't bang the gong just yet!!!

I am PM'ing you a link to the auction where I came accross the patch panels. You car looks like it has almost as much body rust as the fleetline!

 

I think the chop looks good, but I think you should always get the stance where you want before you chop. Too much chop on a stock suspension car looks bad. Also, why do you say it's too late? You kept the a pillar peices, right? If you want it taller slice it back apart, "it's only metal" !

 

It could be an SS, the Sootikin Special.

It'll improve the flow by opening up the greenhouse without
ruinin' the flow of the roof.

this is just a tidbit,but you think this over [and then do what you want] [Im sure that will win out!-Ha!]
Cut straight UP thru the front of quarter gl*** frame [just behind the B post].
Then into roof about an inch and then straight back to rear of roof panel...
then you can slide "window" back a couple 3 inches ...to your taste...

Next cut the rear gl*** loose where it was tacked and slide it forwards "into" the roof about 2".
Add.... some metal BEHIND the rear gl***'s bottom to stretch the area between the trunk and gl***.....it'll look a LOT different....
