*Due to popularity the car show will be moved to provide space for MORE cars. The new location will be at the ground level parking lot just north of the GOLD COAST HOTEL . BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT OF CARS COMING, THIS YEAR'S PARKING WILL BE VERY LIMITED* So, please follow all rules. There will be one way in and one way out. Security staff will still be on hand 24 hours a day. Cars are welcome to park in this designated show area from Thursday April 5th until Monday morning April 9th. The car show section of the VIVA LAS VEGAS website has been updated. For more info go to: www.vivalasvegas.net Thanks, Axle
Too many cars is a good thing! Cool. A buddy of mine goes there often but is unable to make it this year. He mentioned something about an event on saturday night at the speedway. I looked at the web sight but did not see anything. I could be blind, but do you know of anything that is happening in conjunction with this show and the speedway, possilby some nostalgic drags? Thanks. Don
whew, i got scared for a second. it's only being moved to an adjacent lot so it's not really "moving" as just being held at in a different portion of the same lot.
axle-- are we supposed to get confirmation for VLV (both the music part and the carshow part) this year? couple weeks ago online i paid for 2 VLV tickets and 1 car show entry for my wagon. you guys charged my card, but i dont think i got an email confirmation. am i good, or should i give someone a call? -scott noteboom
eh..I guess if there are that many cars coming then it is a good thing. But I kind of liked it being up on the rooftop. Thanks for the heads up!
Just got this off of the site..."*Due to popularity the car show will be moved to provide space for MORE cars. The new location will be at the ground level parking lot just north of the GOLD COAST HOTEL "
ME -Me Me ---- I know whats happening !!! Pick ME!!! April 6-7 -8 we are having a Grand *****s race (oopppps thats Prix.) They are having a race all thru the downtown streets , formula 1 or indy cars -not sure which. It will be down Main street, up Ogden & Bonneville, 4th st. ,Grand Central Parkway & others -----about 2 1/2 mile course right thru the middle of downtown , past the casinos & the county building . For a month now they have been putting up BIG concrete & Steel Mesh barricades on both sides of all the streets, building walkways over the course , bleachers -- in general screwing up traffic like there is no tomorrow with street closures all over hell --- I drive a city bus downtown at night & EVERY trip you have to expect some street is gonna be closed & you just have to hunt around some way around the mess --next trip it will be a different one --- makes a real adventure out of tring to do your route. Last night I had been sent 8 EIGHT !!!detours BEFORE I even got the bus out of the Stall at the terminal ---- not only that but NONE of them were any good by the time I got to where they were supposed to be used!!! Thats why We call them Grand ***** Racers !!! Hey is anybody coming to Viva from Michigan?? I just bought Carlie Chops Lincoln Drums & would really be happy if someone could throw them in the trunk & bring "em out??? Dave
I never seem to remember to make one, but is there gonna be a HAMB meet and greet? My wife will be with me and she is the organized one, so there is a chance....
We are gonna see the local sites, the Hoover, some red desert or rock thing, the show, and the race. The most anticipated thing for me is to meet with the man that originally built my roadster (Lazy 8) I cant wait! Got a copy of MFS IV to give him with a ton of pictures. Hopefully he will have lots of pics for me too! Damn I cant wait!
