I buy gold leaf from a sign painters supply store for half the price of chain art stores.I have used clear in the medium your useing for sizeing.Mask what you don't want gold, spray a tack coat, let it get tacky, touch the mask not where you want to put the gold.I use waxed paper to move the leaves.Lay leaf on sized area, burnish with a very soft brush and clear.Dry light coats to get the gold buried then wet for shine.

I would think art supply or hobby stores would have everything you would need and probably some instruction too.

I'll definitely take photos. A guy I work with wants me to do his tank for his sportster in a black base with gold leaf flames. Its kind of more of a learning experience for me and he's OK with that so its not really a paying gig. I'm doing it either this wknd or next so I'll throw some pics up - good or bad.

Yo, Billy...I think Pearl Art Center in Woodbridge has the stuff...you might want to call first, though, as their inventory in things is sporadic. They, too carry One SHot, Mack Brushes, Powdered Pearl, Iwata airbrushes, and other neat things!
I just ordered some through Coast AIrbrush, tacked onto an order for Iwata parts. There are some neat options. I got silver leaf, but they also carry different patterned gold leaf, different colors running through them.
The real gold is expensive, you might want to start playing with the imitation stuff, til you get good at it!
