Occasionally you are repaid for all the good deeds that you do. The free auto work for the neighbor kids, tipping the Sonic workers for having to deliver burgers on skates, letting inept people use your tools, etc., etc. It happened for my wife and I when a local s****per was at the shop selling cores to my boss. He got to talking about this old aluminum trailer that he was going to take to the s****yard. Well, being the trailer freak that I am, and feeling sick from the thought that this piece of sculpture was going to be chopped up, I immediately asked if I could check it out. He said no problem, and Jeeter and I went and checked it out at lunch. Well, needless to say, the s**** guy only wanted what he thought the aluminum was worth, which was a princely $300, plus $25 for delivering it. Now, I just need to find a V8 to drop into my '59 for the tow rig...

It's already been modified for A/C. Most excellent!

You saved a TON of cash on that one, how bad is the interior? Not like it matters for $325. ;)

We figured out that its a '49 Spartanette, and the interior is gutted except for the original kitchen cabinets. In fact, some one had put a toilet right in front of the bedroom door... it was real fun removing that... Anyways, thanks for the kind comments. Anyone have any Spartans out there?

  14. sweeeeett!!!!!! you need the '62 Mercury Monterey station wagon I saved from the crusher last week, to tow that with!

Great Find, did good at $325. Is the door really on the left or does it have two, never seen one with left side only. I think my brother has a Sparton, I can't keep up, he has a dozen or so.

This rig has sooo much potential. If anyone can pull it off, Dusty and his wife sure can. I foresee "a whole heck of alot" of buffing parties to get this faded Spartanette to a mirror finish.

Enjoy it D, you deserve it.

Great spartan If you can get to the bay area I got a wedgewood stove and oven set up that is a four burner unit would be perfect in it! The spartan probably used a dixie stove but the wedgewood looks better if you can get here you can have it LTR Dave

moparsled-oh man, I would love to tow it with your wagon! That's such a good find, I'm so jealous, I want a wagon quite badly actually
studhud-thanks for the offer, I actually have a cousin who lives in SF, and it would be a good excuse to go see her and pick up the wedgewood. Thanks so much!
