I've been making a few changes to the 48 tudor I bought last fall. It didn't run too well when I got it, but the motor seemed sound enough, so I've added a mallory electronic ignition, which made me switch the car to 12 volts. I'm still fiddling with the carbs to get them dialed in, but the igniton has made quite a difference. While waiting on parts, I started sanding the primer that the P.O. put right over scratches and all, and you know how one thing leads to another, a little dechroming here, relocating this and that, and so on.......... Here's what it looked like when I got it... Here it is now... I still have to install the posies reverse eye springs, and some flamessssssss....
Actually it's satin black urethane and orange wheels........ which I like better than cheesy primer and portawalls, but thanks for your sarcasm
Well, you didn't mention THAT! That makes all the difference. Looks flat black with red wheels BTW. You're welcome.
That would look good too, but I'm going with tradition white/yellow/orange/red flames with process blue striping, then orange and white pinstriping on the nose and deck. I know that there's a lot of cars out there with this type of paint, but I think it's "cl***ic hot rod" all the way, and I like it.............
Looks good. I like the rake. It would look killer with some bigger bumpers on it... especially in front (lower and tucked back a little bit). JOE
CYRUS - your ****box doesnt even have wheels... and you are talkin ****? its not how id do mine up, but it looks good Abomb, wheels and paint are meant to be swapped around on a whim.
Yea I like it better with the flames now. Glad to hear those red wheels are really orange ones. I am thinking about gold wheels for my 46 sedan.
I dig it! Mine has the Posie's reverse eye spring, that and the 4" drop axle, yours will look good a few inches lower in front.
