Three years ago I posted about losing a friend suddenly. His 15 year old son had just started building his first hot rod and didn't know if he wanted to go on without his dad. The members of the board showed tremendous support and contributed parts as well as support and welcomed Emilio with open arms when he signed up. He's 18 now, about to graduate from high school, and the car is almost on the road. It will wear primer this year so he can drive it and be blown apart for paint later. Thanks again for everything everyone's done to help him out. For the Spokane guys, we'll be working on it all day Saturday if you want to come by and help or just to check it out. PM me for directions. I will keep you updated. Here's one of the original posts for the newbees: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7592 Behold, 496 ci. of stroked big block:

I love the way everything on the floor flies out of the way when they juiced it that last time! Kick, ass!
I lost my dad when I was 13. I wish I'd had a mentor like you at that time. I'm sure it would have made a HUGE difference in my life.
It wasn't just me, it was alot of people. I just happened to be the only one who hung out here at the time. I'm not that much of a mentor, I'm only 28 myself.
Very cool. I want to help. Just finished moving, So my weekend is open. I will PM you my new phone number.
