Nic- Always a pleasure to see you! I should have made another lap in the roadster with you ridding shotgun... Might see you up in Santa Rosa anyway. jay
It was nice to finally meet you nic! And, as always, it was great to have people over for a little BS'n and food! We'll do it again this summer... or maybe around Billetproof... Jay, JimA was the guy in the black model A sedan with orange Kelseys... Sam.
[ QUOTE ] Jim A- Which guy where you? I would have introduced myself! [/ QUOTE ] The fat old guy with facial hair I know that's no help! Sam, you make it sound like I was IN my sedan! I thought our host might introduce us, but I know I have a "reputation" so I don't tell everybody- "HEY, I'm that guy from GREEDY GUYS!" Kirk could tell you a story about the VERY FIRST guy we ran into when the event officially started. He threw out the GREEDY GUYS thing in less than two minutes because Kirk was explaining that PERHAPS his brand new SSR wasn't in the best parking spot directly in front of our "Garage Grown- Retro Rods & Kool Kustoms" display. He wanted to start a fight, we walked away. Great way to start your weekend. He stayed there ALL DAY.
Sam and Katie Strube were wonderful hosts, as usual, the hamburgers were excellent, lots of refreshments, and non-stop bench racing, except for Sam doing a couple of exhibition p***es in the BFD. Sam says he'll run it at the Antique Nationals at LACR June 6 and at Pomona near the end of June, during the GG Nitro Nationals. Bob Beck, aka hotrodbob, delivered by Dudaki pit bike "kit" to me, much to the sorrow of his son Scotty who has been lusting after the very handsome Ducati single for the several weeks it's been parked in Bob's garage, awaiting transport to NorCal. I'm going to park the bike out of sight until my truck is done to keep me from being distracted. Thanks, Bobaloo, and thanks, Nic, for providing transmportation for me and the bike the rest of the way to Santa Rosa. JimA -- Check your PMs for Betts Spring contact info.
Mike, David, Nic- I think I'm heading up to Vern's in my Roadster on Saturday. I would love to see you guys there if your around. David- I haven't seen your roadster in almost a year, so I'm looking forward to seeing the 'finished' product. Hope to see y'all this weekend! jay

[/ QUOTE ] First he basically told me how stupid he was by saying he came in through the spectator parking lot and paid the $8 to park and wanted a refund. I politely pointed to the large type on the bright orange pre-registration slip he was holding that said to enter at the Rose Ave gate. He was parked right smack in the middle of a roadway that led to another area. Another thing proving that his stupidity was someone elses fault. Funny ****.
Fat lot you know! Fifty cc, your ***, this started out a full 160 cc tiddler and showed up at my door with a 1/8-inch stroker pin that should kick it all the way out to 200cc. I'll be hunting for Triumph Tiger Cubs with this rascal!
sorry I don't know much about that Euro trash , I just thought pitbike=smaller displacement not a full on dirt bike! Here's another stupid question, is it Desmo? -Jesse
RACEFAB- Canton Race Way rocks!!! Sam took me for a couple of p***es last year in the Roach Rod to help "Break-In" the new neighbors directly across the street from his house. It was pretty damn funny doing burnouts while they were unloading furniture from a U-Haul!
Jesse -- No, it's not a desmo. It is a bit odd, relative to what most of us are accustomed, in that it has "mousetrap valve springs rather than coils. BTW, digging through the parts boxes I just found another stroker journal with even more offest than the first one! The Tiger Cubs are in REAL trouble now!
