Chromedaddyo--Isn't shipping women over state lines for immoral purposes a violation of the Mann Act? And shouldn't it be the Woman Act??? Tucker
If that were to happen, we'd have to send Sheriff Buford T. Justice from Texarkana, Texas up thar to lay down the law boy, ya hear?
You didn't say what kind of car you own. I'll ***ume it is a 30-31 Model A Ford. The cowl band is held on by a stud on each side with is welded to the band. The band slide down over teh cowl, is located fore and aft by small beads pressed into the sheet metal. The stud slide into holes in angle-seated recesses near the bottom and are pulled down evenly by nuts from inside. A similar fastening is used for the trim band on the back bead of a 32 Ford radiator shell.

From my answer to your other post. But, the studs come with the band-they're just 1/4" threaded rod. If they're not on your band, you'll need to rig up your own. "The original cowl band, and the aftermarkets, had about a 4' threaded rod welded to the inside of the lower ends of the band. These studs p***ed through a hole on each side of the cowl and then were fastened with nuts from the underside of the body-I am not sure you can do this with the body on the car. The center of the band is held down with a modified rear hood hinge that has a finger that sits on top of the cowl band, holding it down. I got my repro cowl band and the hood hinge bracket from Mac's (Mac's Auto Parts). However, since my body is already mounted on the frame and the holes are filled,I am going to remove the studs and make small T shaped brackets that will screw to the body and then I will slide the band over these clips. That will hold the ends in place and then the finger clip will hold it down on top. Should work, but I haven't done it yet."
If you remove them (I ***ume they will slide out of the band), would you consider selling them to me?
Ok so now he doesn't want girls in ******* but he'd rather a stud???? Come on cowboy this ain't brokeback mountain. Just kidding I would try 1-800-try-mike for Mikes A fordable in Georgia.
We called them Sissies when I was still in the city. But I lived on Portrero most of the time and wasn't really allowed to play with them.
Got my attention, one thing I like better than old cars. Cowl band mounting stud is angled off the bottom of the band.
"cowl band"... Sounds like some sort of Muslim Extremists Group! Be careful brother, those sons of *****s are not cool and usually smell like poop. This has been a public service announcement without guitars Cheater Carl
