I live in the central Texas area and have been looking for a model A frame. I used to be able to find them all day long sitting in pastures. Farmers used to make cotton trailers out of them. After awhile they would quit using them and give them away for the asking. Now I can't find one. What's happened to them?

Time marches on. I remember when you could still find tri-five Chevy's in junk yards, too.

I was afraid of that. It's kind of depressing. Those old frames used to be in just about every pasture around here.

I have several of them. I used to sell them cheap for many years. But now they bring $1000 with clear Kansas ***le.

We still got lots of stuff here on the windy Plains of Kansas. Bare frames, rolling frames, and running frames. Got some that are just frame rails too . All with numbers matching ***les.

I've got one, give me a month or so - I'm using it for a template - then we'll talk.

I found several of them here. It turns out that I just wasn't looking in the right place.
$1000 seems pretty damn steep for a model A frame. Is that the same frame that's on ebay with no bids yet?
If any of you guys want to pay that kind of money, I found several down here for way less than that.

I agree -- $1,000 for a Model A frame is too steep for my blood. I bought one last summer for $1,000 -- with an engine, trans, rear axle, and a body attached to it.
