so ive slowly been building my 1950 buick that i got off fellow hamb'r 53baldmohawk. The second day i had it a friend of mine offered me a fulton off of his 52 buick, it fits perfectly and i love the way it looks, the guy my friend got it from painted it flat black. as i see it, there seems to be chrome under the the paint on the leading edge of the thing. are they suposed to be chrome? and where on earth can i find the chrome buttons that go on the side of the thing i cant find any pictures of a buick with a fulton on it, so i cant see what they are suposed to be look like. any info would be great. picture of car for refrence
Sweet ride. Do a search on Ebay for Fulton and they usually have all the bits and pieces you'll need. You'll probably find un-molested examples to go by also.
The whole thing is aluminum, so you might just be seeing some shiney aluminum from underneath. The center "pinch clamps" are polished stainless, as is the center strip and the circular medallion/emblems on the sides and the upright pieces on the side clamps. The rest was painted body color. I love a Fulton on an old car, looks great. Let me know if you have any questions.
