Here are two pictures of the 51 bullet nose Stude. It has the Hot Fod Flatz urethane paint on it. We are in the ***embly mode now. The white walls are painted on with the tire paint from Iceland. It went on really well. Time will tell how it holds up. Don
Have you seen the one for sale out in the country south of 94? It looks pretty original. My kids and I were doing a back road jaunt off of Parker Road when we saw that and a whole line of Dodge trucks of several vintages. I'll have to try to 'recreate' that drive and see if I can find it. It's for sale! Your car is looking good. Time to get the next one!
There's also a pair of Studes for sale just north of Adrian on M52. Ones a later Lark, the others a BN I think. I'll try to do some driving around. If not, PM me a list of what you need. I work with a guy in Elkhart that does Studes and he may have a few connections.
Do you have any info on the tire paint? I have emailed them several time from the website and never received a reply.. Brian
About the tire paint. It is 20 bucks a pint. Clean the tires well, mask off and sand the shiney rubber. I sanded the whole surface I wanted painted. Paint 3 coats waiting 24 hours between coats. Cleans with wesleys bleach white. 20 bucks to ship 1 to 4 cans. I got two and still have half a can left. I brushed on the first coat and used a 3 inch roller for the next two. About the stude parts. One thing I need is the air duct that goes between the front fender and the cowl. I have one but need two. I will check today and see which side I need. Don
51gmc will be happy to know that cause that is him! I was taking the pictures cause my back is screwed up and I can't do any pushing, lifting etc.
I'm looking for a '59 - '61 Lark (single headlite), 2 door sedan. I'd prefer a 6-stick car, project car OK, no motor/******/interior OK. Car has to have a solid body tub. Please PM or email me if you have/know about one. Thanks a million in advance!
