Calling all New Yorkers, rod run idea for Hospice.

Good morning fellow rodders of the world. I want to start by saying I am a registered nurse with Ho****e. In Ho****e we take care of end of life patients with cancer, Parkinsons, liver failure, etc. We are a not for profit organization and are trying to raise a little money and get the word out about Ho****e. I have been thinking about doing a rod run to a local beach and have a BBQ with a band in the summer. I figured on each person giving ten dollars or so to donate. This would be a great way to get rodders involved with Ho****e and show our sweet side and to get Ho****e name out there. If any of you have had Ho****e in your life you must know what a blessing it was or is. So, get back to me so I can see if it might work. I need responses though and an honest answer. I would help but I live in Maine. Ho****e people are the best! Thanks for being one of them. My mother is currently a ho****e patient. She is with our family receiving in home Ho****e care. I can not say enough good about Ho****e. Anything to help Ho****e is a great thing. Come on you New York rodders, get involved!

 

Where in NY are you? I'm in western M***. near Albany would p*** the word to people around here to participate if you are near.

Ho****e is one org. that I support 100%.

 

Also would like to know where you are in NY. I live in Rochester and am glad to p*** the word to people in this area. We have a very active group of car nuts here and, I'm thinking, many would be interested in participating in what you propose.

Thanks for the answers guys and gals. Great response. Now, I live in Malone, NY near the Canadian border. The beach idea is at Meachem Lake just half an hour from Malone. We too have a huge car show each year and lots of participants. I will get a flyer together and give more details as they come. P*** the word, it's worth it.

HEY ease up!!! Malone ain't the middle of nowhere, but you can see it from there.

Keep the details posted, lots of folks in the Syracuse, Utica/Rome area may be induced to participate for a great cause.

 

Great cause and I am sure many here would help. I am in Atlanta but would be glad to donate if you set it up.

 

I think we'd probably make the trip pending work related issues (that tend to get in the way of everything fun).

 

Maybe finding a site more near the middle of the state would attract more rodders.
