Well on Saturday me, CHEVY, and a few mates did the job. A freind of ours ADAM rang me a couple of weeks ago and sugested that we chop my 53 chev aussie 4 door I was keen as and have wanted to chop for a while but haven't had the time effort or inteligence to do the job but Adam has slamed a couple of cars and is a grate tradesman and top guy with all the right ideas on cars(he's got a 60 chev thats extra neat) we went 4in in the front and a bit more in the back laid the rear sceen down and thined out the B pillar but left it vertical not canted welded up the rear doors and put a new panel between the boot(trunk) lid and the rear sceen. In just 15 hours we had it all tacked and sitting were it needs to and It looks awsome. Its amazing what a group of mates and bit of effort can do Thanks heaps Adam. When I figure out how to put photos on they will go on.

Looking good, are you going to round off the back of the side windows now you have welded the doors up.
Hey all, Here's the some of the pics I took (hopefully). TMF the rear side windows are stayin square.
Very cool nicely proportioned. Tell Ryan to have a go next time he's not doing much in the photos and he don't even look pretty. Troy
Nice one my 50 chevy was a 4 door , only thing I can see is it looks just far too hot and sunny over there ...
Hey, That looks great mates, but ya gonna go ta work for the postal service, what with that shotgun side stearing wheel et al??? 'jus' kiddin' & great use of a yank-tank, er, um aussie bow tie. S****ey Devils C.C.
Here's a coupla more pics for those that are interested. Troy:[Tell Ryan to have a go next time he's not doing much in the photos and he don't even look pretty.]........We just called him Pothole!!! Chevy.....
the only addition I'd make is the double gap between the doors. clean up better adding it all to the front door and a single gap between the two
Thanks for the kind words, I will p*** them on to the boys. Hey NONAME, we still have to do all the finish welding, the back window area is still only tacked in, the rear doors will be fully welded in and plated more on the inside as well, its no longer a more door. Does anyone remember which one of the magazines did the article a few years ago on fitting one piece door gl*** to these boats? Chevy....
