Why? - I've got a growing pile of parts and it would be different. I'd like to know if anyone has / has tried to swap a Pontiac into a 35-41 Ford PU. They are slightly longer than the SBC, but with a rear sump, still should go. Starter on the Left side seems like a potential problem, but I plan on using a MII front crossmember. Trans mounts should be the same - TH350 or 200R4. Firewall cut or not? thanks

I'm working on putting a poncho in a stock 40 coupe. I'm using an old trans and stock suspension. I haven't gotten very far, but I'm pretty sure the firewall will have to be cut.

My friend has had Pontiac's in his 40 coupe for at least 40 years all sizes and years from 59 on up. The firewall has never been cut. You should be able to do the same in a pickup, the frame is the same .
