Not to hijack the thread, but its good therapy...

I just had my credit card numbers phished from an order I placed over the internet, the jackass that took the numbers went and used it from some ProSoft company thru PayPal. I go thru the motions with the credit card co and they suggest I give PayPal a call to try and figure out who the company is and get more information. So I call PayPal and they have no idea who ProSoft is. Not even a listed merchant through PayPal. This guy at PayPal searched the company name online just as did!

Nice to know they had no problem taking the money though, regardless of whether the company was legit or not.

I hope you guys get things straightened out. Dont give up on it, thats what these low-lifes want you to do. Good luck, fellas!

sorry I didn't read it all so if this has been said I'm sorry. I was just on the phone 10 minutes ago getting to the end of someone bouncing a check for my company. you should get a copy of the check back in the mail. their bank or the person that wrote the check will get it back. the copy of the check you have you can cash. call the bank that is his. ask if the bank account is still in good standing. if so ask if he has funds to cover the check. if so themn you have your cash. if he doesn't hang up and call again in a few weeks. if it's a big bank it would be worth going to his bank if they have a branch in your town.

I can't believe that people are accepting personal, out of state, checks. Try to write one at a restuarant tonight and see what they say. The only way to do business anymore is certified cashiers check or money order. The only thing you need to watch out for are the counterfeit ones. Never, ever let the merchandise go without the mo or CCC clearing first. That's the only save way to do business. Since this is an intrastate deal the FBI needs to get involved but, to tell you the true, I've never got any help from the cops on problems like this. Their not here to solve your problems, their here to take your money! Like I said the agency that should handle this, FBI, won't do shit because their too busy listen to your phone calls and watching our emails...don't get me started on the damn government, just make smarter business deals and watch your money closer.

I would love to help but the jurk is about 243 miles away. Maybe you should post his name so on one else with get burned. There a store in easton Pa. that posts the names of people that ripped him off. He posts them on his sign outside the store. Nothing like have your name in lights for ripping someone off.

Doesn't work anymore. The PO sends a confermation to the original address before they activate the change.

Mail Fraud......it sucks, but there are more then one way to skin the cat.....lol.....

I use to live in Florida a few years back. When I was a scout in my younger days, I was subjected to a mail fraud deal for over $200.00
I went to the post master of my local USPO and filed a complaint. 3 months went by before I received a notice from the PO Master on the dealings. It turned out that this was an organization defrauding many young people. The FEDs were called into the picture and with in 6 months, all of the young folk had been reinbursed their money and the pigs are still behind bars.

You must file with your local PostMaster. It will be taken care of in short of a year. Next best thing is to send some porn movies to his email address, and pictures to his house. So if the email is at work, his boss will catch it, and at home his wife is more then likely to open the mail before he gets home. Have some female write him a John letter as a penpal discribing the actions he took with her last time he was over at her place. And that she thought some fresh photos of her would just make his day....... :D

I love total disruption in f^ck a$$ world....people like him need to have their bung holes stuffed with a ball bat.....then allowed to be cleaned by a bunch of dogs. I have a cousin in Ohio who raises great daines, he has one real horny stud that just loves to slip the butter to any hole.......lol........this could be aranged once you collect your funds and merchendise.
