Too late they are already out. I came across 20 baby bull snakes already. I picked up one of those cheapy 12 volt winches and I will get some pics tommorrow. Its not going to be easy thats for sure. I could go one way and get in a four wheeler but there is too much debris concrete, wood, and metal. So I am going thru the other side and the owner said no to taking a chunk of fence out even temporary. If I am lucky i will get all of it and there is around 50 hhunks of metal that used to be 30's thru 60's cars and trucks.
Use sheaves or pulleys to gain mechanical advantage. 100 lbs double rigged (two pulleys) only takes 55 lbs to lift. If you use 4 pulleys, only 35 lbs pull will be necessary to lift 100 lbs. etc. Pm me if you need detailed instructions. Sheaves are found in every barn in Iowa worth its salt. I'm a lineman it's my business moving heavy stuff the smart way. Chopped50ford and I pulled an engine out of a truck using only two pulleys a rope, and manpower. The egyptians did it, so can you.
Tie about a thousand balloons to them, put a dam down stream of the cabs, get as long a garden hose as necessary, fill the ravine with water, buy a pontoon boat and build a hoist onto it. When the balloons float the cabs to the top of the water................ Well I think you know where I'm going with this. And keep in mind you'll need some kind of dock to tie up to once you get to shore. Oh wait, I've got another idea that involves several pieces of 12" pipe and about 200 lbs. of black powder. Have you got access to some old bed mattresses?
Invite a bunch of your friends; have a case or two of beer ready down there. Have another hidden up top. Spend some quality time drinking and discussing the problem at the bottom. When beer is almost gone, mention that there's more up top for when the job is done...and you're going up to get that case open for them.

Get your ass down there and carry it out. Ok all kidding aside. You will probably have to get down there and rig something up .4x4 lumber build something light but sturdy as hell .Id build a crate around body buy heavy rope or cable and winch the thing out. Without pictures. I dont know how much of a drop your talking about

I have been on a couple off road parts hunts. I recommend the use of winches, come-alongs, skids, large friends with strong backs and don't forget the beer. At times a gas powered chop saw came into use. Now, show us the pics. Thanks.

I have a Ramsey 8000 pound single line stall winch on my trailer..few years back some assholes got a blazer stuck over a hill out in back of my farm. took the winch off and made a piece of plate to bolt it to that slid in the receiver of my truck. chained the truck off to a tree and used the winch to pull them out. it made the winch mobile and since has been used without the truck for stuff like you are doing,just chain the winch thru the plate to a tree and pull the stuff up the hill. you can carry the winch w/95 feet of cable in one hand and the battery in the other,get to your destination..chain to a tree and go for it.
I don't think you had to say anything about my mullet!!!!! I think your pissed because the dam and balloon idea wasn't yours. At any rate are the cabs out of the ravine? Did my idea work?
