Dreamweaver, I agree on the simple thing but I tried that last time and it got poo-pooed...... I though Ryan liked simple. The line art is one of my favorite things too, kinda like Bell's art in the back of (gasp) Street Rodder. I used to buy that mag just for the art showcases in front and Bell's stuff in the back, no kidding. Then I reaqlized that I wasn't into ANY of the cars they were putting into their mag, but that's a different story......
I like the pinstriping design the best (as shown on previous page) with or without a car. keep it simple.
I'm not usually too picky, but a couple of those recent ones are pretty gay. Let's see some orginial thoughts and ideas on rust colored/red oxide shirts. Keep in mind Ryan does not want his ride on it so he'll probley not even consider your design if it has his '38 on it. "No chance in hell my car is making a shirt fellas... Way too many way cooler cars for that..."
i still like the idea of the red oxide colored shirts, and whatever the logo is,im in for two of em,size 2x!and hurry up goddammit, cause summers commin!!!!!
If I had my way, it'd be the shifter logo, in Red, White, and Black, on a light gray shirt. I'm not so much into colored, shirts
First Question: Who prints shirts here on the HAMB? Second Question:Would the cost involve PRE-pay like the calendars? If so I can send some coin to help get it started. Let me know about this part I would like to get four shirts and can send some coin to help get the ball rolling. For those who have not seen one of the first and second printing: Front chest logo: First printing? Second printing: Third printing: Chris Nelson Kansas
This thread can go on to infinity! Let the guy(s) that started this take control and make up his/her mind. Pick a couple of the already submitted designs and have a poll. The winner of the most popular design, gets printed. Read this to mean the most preferred to purchase to support the HAMB and fly it's colors. This will be the new HAMB shirt till the next time. How's that! I will be happy to contribute any thing towards getting this done. Denise, Let me know how I can be of some service. The one thing is getting this done. I want a HAMB t-shirt! Joel
[ QUOTE ] I think this would really stand out in a croud... JOE [/ QUOTE ] JYD that would only be appropriate for Roadsters...! (So you can see the little spinnie thing!)! Totally unacceptable in any closed car application!! (Unless you drive with your head hanging out the window! ) "Arf"..., "Arf" ...! Mark
I really liked the first two original shirts. They were simple but got the point across in a clear and straight forward manner. It would be cool to keep that style going in my opinion. Maybe do it in Rust. I like the thought of them being a series. Maybe I'm wrong. At least this way it wouldn't turn the whole process into one post after another trying to out do each other. This thread is getting out of hand. It's 8 pages on my computer. It's gotta be at least 20 on some of your computers... The 2 different threads thing is driving me nuts btw. We've got people creating "new" designs of that are exactly the same as some already posted ones.

Joel [/ QUOTE ] I guess that means me! I'll take a look at the thread and pick some out some designs. Then I'll post the picks in a separate thread and set up a poll. Open up voting for a certain amount of time... I was thinking a week... and then the HAMB masses will have spoken and we'll have our next shirt design. I'll get Ryan to thumbtack the thread so it will be easy to find. Ryan, do I have your blessing to follow through on this? Thanks, Rick
Here's a pic of a brick red one that looks very much like red oxide primer when seen in the sunlight. Two thoughts on the design - I really like Django's initial offering and like it even better with a car in the center. Let's choose two cars, a rod and a custom. Make the first print run with one or the other and 6-12 months down the road offer the second car. A matching set for collectors. Ladies shirts/sizes/styles are important as well. One big design on front or back is the way to go. Two big designs make the shirt too hot to wear in the summer. At least it does around here with our 100+ temps. Here's another thought on color, sky or powder blue is a color not used much at all where hot rod T-shirts are concerned. That way you could tell the HAMB'rs at a glance from a long ways off. The red oxide color would work the same, but the blue would be more novel and perhaps a better choice for the ladies as color conscious as they are. My choice for a shirt would be for Django's design on the back, car in the center and a small pattern over the heart that features the cartoon like pic of Ryans coupe as seen in his avitar.
I love you Jay but powder blue/sky blue t-shirts are gay. You don't see many of them on car folks for this reason.
Don't be bashful Denise, just say what's on your mind. Never thought about blue being gay. Now what am I gonna do with all this blue paint?
OK a Gratuitous BTT! Oh and this is LAST CALL for artwork submissions. If any of you ARTISTES haven't already submitted your designs please do so. I'm gonna go through this thread and I know that there's a couple of shirt designs on the stickers thread and pick the top contenders then we're gonna let the HAMB masses choose the final designs. Also, as far as styles and stuff. I wanna keep it simple... Probably just do std. T-Shirts and a ladies shirt. If it goes over well, we could consider hoodies in the fall when it cools down. I haven't gotten the official okie-dokie from Ryan yet so I'm kinda doing this without permission at this point. Obviously, if Ryan isn't behind it, it's not gonna happen. Rick
As has been suggested, on some of my designs with cars as photos, I would want them to be illustrated by someone. bdrake does kick ass illustrations that pretty much look realistic.
Ryan mentioned to me about a month or so ago how he wanted to have a hand in the design this time around. Not sure if he stills feels this way, or if he just has too much on his plate right now for t-shirts to be a huge concern....but, why don't you give him a few days to get back to you. A few more days isn't going to matter one way or the other and I really would like to see what he has in mind. The shop logo that he came up that HotRod2Hell turned into a tattoo was cool and something like that on the back of a t-shirt would be very unique.
Gildan's "Texas Orange" T-shirt is pretty close to rust, not garment died, and not premium priced. How about a rusty non-running 4 door Shoebox? That would rock. I know where to find one.
Hell yeah put a really cool HAMB vehicle on a shirt, that would rock... "edited for content so as to not spoil another dealio"
OK Denise... I'll hold off. I just get into these moods where I just can't wait... sometimes a friend has to reel me in!
Ok, I'm ready... what are we doing??? shift knob on oxide colored shirts??? Who wants to print em??? I think the most important thing here is getting the right color shirt... don't want no fucked up pink color vato...
Well Ryan it's what ever you want! Red Oxide with the Shifter logo would be easy, quick and distinctive. Easy to spot at gatherings. My idea was to pick maybe the top 6 or so designs out of the many suggested and then have a poll to pick the most popular among the HAMB masses. BadPat has been voluteering to head up the production of the shirts. I think Denise saud that she would head up distribution with the Michigan contingent. Orders should probably be done on a presale basis so that no one has a large chunk o' dough wrapped up in this and we don't have to worry about storing "stock."
