Damn!!! Just once I'd love to see the bill on an engine like the 33 has. Surely not everyone just has Arduns and a SCoT blower laying around. UGH, I hate that guy!!!

I'd bet there's around $40,000 just in the engine. Depending on when the parts were purchased. $20k for the heads, $10k for the blower, $10k for the rest of the engine parts, and machining/assembly. Plus the gennie 3w sheetmetal at $20k. Plus the labor rate to build....
    It's a $200,000+ car when done!

You could spend $40K on the engine, but you might do it for less. Repop Ardun heads run just under $13K, I think you can find a SCoT for <$10K - not sure what the H&H repop SCoT will run & you can easily build the rest of the engine for $5-6K - still, not cheap by any means - I only "saved" $10K off your quote. ;)

Exactly, what rare high dollar parts could they add? maybe E&Js or electrolines , curved glass SWs on some rare dash like an auburn, Lincoln or duesenburg, zephyr gears, and taillights, a quickchange of course or maybe a columbia, and some super scarce wheels, what other rare parts are there?

Not knocking it though, If I had that kind of money i'd probably do it too. Its got to be a thrill firing up a blown ardon. Better spent there than on some blinged out show queen, but wow, so much money there..

There was another showrod that was put together in a similar manner, and ended up looking like a mis-matched collection of really rare stuff. I hope that this one is able to pull it all together rather than end up just being a rolling chunk of solid platinum.

There are a bunch of rare and cool parts on that car, but all I can think about is that this guy has to love Huey Lewis and the News for choosing that username........Not that there anything wrong with that.

Ha ha ha ha hah!!! How come nobody cares about mis- matching when the car is a Ford with all kinds of emblems and Ford design characteristics and you lift the hood and you see a bowtie lump with gm or chrysler something written all over the place. That shit jabs me in the eye all the time, why don't folks care about that? The worst offenders are those new ls1 heaps with the plastic corvette junk all over the place. Talk about breaking up the continuity and pedigree of a fine car!
