I am looking for guys that are talented in a couple areas and are willing to learn other aspects of the trade.I am NOT looking for attitudes (I got plenty of that to go around).I am wanting guys that know what needs to be done and can deliver a quality product. I am located in Morro Bay, California. Pay will be based on ability. I am also going to consider guys that are wanting to learn fabrication to help out on a part time basis. Skills I am looking for include, Paint/ Body, metal fabrication, drive train experience, wiring, brake and fuel plumbing, welding..Mig, Tig and gas. I may look for an interior guy in the near future if I decide to bring that in house also. Serious guys only responding please.. Pm for contact info. If you have a question you can post it and I will answer incase someone else has the same question. Thanks, Jason.... EVILT
Looks like this should be a good opportunity for someone so I moved it to the main board where it can get more play and allow the kind of discussion it will spawn...
I know it says "P M" for info, but I guess I have questions that others -MAY- have??? Are you looking for school educated, like a trade school or something, or actual hands on experience, as in have done it and learned by doing it? Is this full time for a loong time? I am asking because, you can look to see posts of my past on here and can tell I am trying to "move back home"!!! I am from Calif. but have a family here in Spokane, Wash. and am willing to make the "trek" down if I have a future?!?!?! Does that make sense? I should actually say --I AM going down there --blindly-- but an opportunity would be phenominal, but I have no "formal" training but can do "most" all what your asking except upholstery. I am also damn good at hydraulics, and sound systems!! Maybe I am just dreaming out loud?!?!?! I'll P.M. you also...Ken
I have no "formal" training either. It has been hands on learning over time.. I learned building rock crawlers, custom VW's, hot rods etc.. I am looking for skilled people. A piece of paper doesn't matter much to me. You can tell if someone is skilled or not pretty quickly. It is a full time position for the right qualified person... Feel free to PM for my phone number. I don't want to post it because I don't have a lot of time for dreamers... Jason.. EVILT Thanks Scott....Everything is moving really fast..
man ive been trying to get to cali for a while now. but i gotta finish my cars first and save up some cash. ill bookmark this and if you are still looking at the end of summer(thats my goal) ill hit you up.
Evilt, it's tough bro. I have been searching for that special person for 3 years. Gone through many. My guy I have now was a total fluke. We hired a guy that was leaving another rod shop that sounded promising. When we told him we would try him out, he says "would you consider another guy, a preper. He's a friend that just moved here last night". We say, sure bring him in. Well, Jason, my new guy, my new protégé, that is on his way to becomming a killer hot rod builder, was the said prepper. The guy we hired is on thin ice, especially 'cause that cell phone thing. After 3 days we gave Jason a 3.00 hr raise. Kid came from Oregon and I am really happy to have him. Took a long time but I think I really have a real guy now. Be patiant. To find a guy willing to do the time is tough.Theres alot of pretenders out here.
Thanks guys.. Have had a couple pm's I will check into. I need some bodies pretty soon. I have a large monster to feed. I will use skilled part timers also.. Jason.
You are only about 3.5 hours away.. You could spend the same amount of time working and commuting.. Jason.
Yeah problem is I have a day job already Move your shop out here, we have a 6k sqft shop for 1200 a month. can't beat that.
Jason, Congrats on the new building, what a great opportunity you are providing for some lucky person. Its kinda odd to me that the posts you are getting from this are from people that would like YOU to move YOUR business to accomodate them. To anyone that hasn't had the chance to go to Morro Bay/ SLO, Ca. You are missing out on one of the last "uncluttered" areas of California. If anyone on here is seriously considering Jasons offer, I would not hesitate to PM him. This sounds like a chance for someone to create a great livleyhood for themselves. If you are curious about Renting a place to stay, or have questions about the area PM me. I am a Realtor in the area, and I also do Property Management, the company I work with, manages over 350 properties in the Morro Bay/Los Osos area. I have had the pleasure of meeting Jason and his family/friends in my retail shop, and I can say that he is a soild guy. Chances like this dont come up often......What are YOU waiting for.
Thanks for the kind words... I wish this would have been available when I was starting out.. I will be looking for a total of 3 guys within the next 6 months.. Jason.. EVILT
ill hit you up tomorrow sometime. just need to finish up this here mustang and then im good to go.maybe only 2 more guys huh...
JG, give me a call on Tues... I think I have the other two spots covered. Time to start cranking out cars.. I got a guy coming to shoot some video and pics for a DVD during the Morro Bay car show.. so I want to get some stuff movin..Jason aka EVILT
I wanted to pop this up to the top for my good friend Jason, aka, EVILT. I've spent the last 9 months or so "interning" for him(voulunteering) to learn as much as I can about hotrods, and cars in general. He's gonna help me with my coupe when I'm able to get started, and if I get TOO handicapped, I'm just gonna pay to have it built by Bear Metal Kustoms, cause the quality is there! I've learned a bunch, and know there's a TON more to learn, but I have a problem. I just can not do it right now. My health and back are failing me, right when he needs me most, so I'm asking the HAMB for help. Someone needs to take a chance and take the job Jason is offering! He's a great guy to work with and for. He'll treat you like a man, but you have to act like a man. He's more than willing to teach, you gotta be willing and able to learn. I will help the applicant with any info needed about this area, just pm me. I've got some computor time at your disposal. This is the nicest seaside town you could ever ask to live in, and the OCEAN view out the big roll-up door at BMK is UNREAL! So, if this is something you think you can handle, PM EVILT. P.S. I'd give anything to be healthy enough to take this job. Eric
ive been working with jason since thurs. its awesome. the shop is great, and were getting a lot done right now.
