I've been chasing this for the last month and a half or so. It's a 49 Cadillac. I bought it for my wife so all you More Door haters can stuff it! She wants it Pearl White with Purple Flames from bumper to bumper...woohoo!! Gota love a women with taste. I'm gonna bag it at all 4 corners, run custom caps, lakes pipes, skirts and 4" whites. She will have White tuck with purple piping White Metal Flake Dash with Different shades of purple striping. My wife looovves Purple. She is in real solid shape!! She has solid floors and trunk. She has one small pushed in dent low on the driver door that can easily be pushed out and one small rot hole low on driver fender....I'm sure theres more **** hiding but I'm gonna make her a driver so....She is complete minus motor and trans, Whatever you dont see is in the trunk in great shape, she has all the chrome and stainless, complete interior and none I say None of the gl*** is cracked!! All the inside garnishings are chrome and all the original door panels are there as is all cranks and everything is exceptional and works. The dash is perfect except it has surface rust. I'm gonna run a Roller 327 with dual quads that I was gonna put in my roadster, that oughta push her around Real GOOD! The kicker is she has CURRENT paper work and ***le. I payed WELL under $500 and that includes trailor and gas!!
I found a 57 2 door cad for $700 and no one bought it for like 4 months and when I finally had the extra skratch someone bought it the day before I went to get it!!
Sounds like it's time to find a 500 inch Cad motor and a build 2004R, or maybe a yank a Northstar out of something even newer if this thing's really for the wife, and save that roller 327 for the roadster after all.
Nice. Here in MI we find those all the time. Only difference is they are sunk 6" up the doors in the ground and the 'in tact' floor stays on the ground when the car gets pulled out. $500 on that is a super super steal. If you put a bit in it, you'll be sporting it soon and loving every minute of it. I can almost see the detail you are talking about and it sounds great. I'm going to start saving cabbage so I can get something decent hauled this way. It costs another $750-1000 to get them from you to me but still, $1500 is way cheap for that car! Keep us posted.
dude that is an orsome buy- here in ozz you'd be paying like 3 grand or more for the same car. cool mate hope to see some build photo's
Thanx...She is going to rule the Highways whn she is done...now I'm just deciding if I want to shave her down a bit, but I dont think so cuz caddy's just need to be dropped to look good!!
Before pic's are always a tough sell. Looks like there's potential to me. Hope to see some progress pic's!!!
i have an extra set of skirts with the trim and a few other parts from my 50 that i sold. skirts, tail light lens,washer bottle, and a few other things
