This is a project my old man has been tinkering with and it's turning out pretty good. We're thinkin it'a 1927 Dodge that was originally a coupe with a removable roof but not totally sure. The frame and body is from the same car. The car has been shortened about 7 inches and the doors are currently just 12 gauge steel. The trunk is being made right now, not sure what the grill is but it didn't come with the car, and the rear end is 57 Chevy. Any ideas as to what this body is? Thanks!
the second shot looks like it has a roof on the car, just squint a little youll see it. Is the body mounted yet?
I have a friend's '25 Dodge coupe in the back garage. While it is different than yours, there are similarities that cause me to think you are probably correct.
I was kind of thinking essex to since it's got that oddball frame but the firewall is just a bit different. Majority rules say Dodge at this point. Thanks for all the complements by the way! And ya the body is mounted on there.
My buddy has an early Dodge (says so on a placard on the dash) that has that exact same firewall "sunburst".
I'm not 100% but I agree I traded off a '26 Dodge Hearse awhile back and the cowl/basic shape was similar.
The grille shell looks like post '23 Dodge Brothers. Look on ebay for the globe emblem that fits the hole. My '24 DB has the starburst firewall too. Can I see a better picture of the dash area? Was there any wood in the cab, like a Chevy?? There should be a number {serial}stamped above the right shackle for the front axle. Tell me, I might be able to give you the year. PM if you want.
