We did our "Build and Bull" in Sycamore Il yesterday. Five of us got together and BS'd and built some plastic. Here are some pics of what was going on at the tables.

Took the stock seat, cut it out and placed some wire in a round corner rectangle. Then wrapped screen around and placed a food bag over it and with a lighter, heated it up. just needs some paint.

Nice work on the A cab Omega. Kool stuff you got going on.

Here is the 40 coupe and an Impala I am working on too. The 40 could use some of your touches to make it more realistic.

I'm drooling over the '60 and '61 F-100's. Somewhere I have pics of real AWB Thunderbolts from 1965. One was a roadster.

  5. Not alot new here. Working on a "mild" Merc and a hammered out (about 1/16" off the table) custom F-100.

Ok, here's the story on the T sedan I showed last week. HAMBer "WannaB" won this model kit in an auction from OGNC. He thought it would be cool to have it built, then re-auction it off. I thought it was a pretty good idea too, so now I've got it and am working it over.

So if anyone is interested in buying this, you can watch it get built from start to finish in the Sunday model posts!

The main body is the only thing I'm actually using from the kit. It will remain unchopped. I've raised and flared the wheelwells to drop the car. The chassis is '32 ford with a coil spring front end and dropped tube axle. Custom nose piece, quad headlights and an extended '32 shell. The rear has some Ala Kart tail lights with a rolled pan inbetween (sorry, no pics). Undecided on the engine right now.

Fidgiter that is cool. I mentioned it yesterday at the "Build and Bull". Eveyone that saw it on the other board thought it was an awesome project.

    I'm diggin' Hotrodyblock's purple suede Merc, & the wheels on Figiter's T!

Just some minor touch ups here & there, but I can't believe I'm almost done. Lots of scratch built/modified stuff. Engine block & heads are from the AMT 49 Merc. The heads were modified, adding small ports on the upper edges (for heater hoses & other stuff) as well as changing the overall shape, & using large ports from other heads. Acorn nuts from Replicas & Miniatures. The carbs, & intake manifold are from the Monogram 50 Ford truck with aircleaners from Replicas & Miniatures. The generator is also from Replicas & Miniatures. The oil filler tube & cap are scratch built as well as the oil filter, dipstick, radiator spout & overflow tube, starter solenoid, voltage regulator, fuel block, & carb. linkages. The fuel lines are .010" tubing with clear red enamel in them. Spark plug boots are wire insulation with a notch cut out, & glued into a 90 degree bend. All brightwork is Alclad chrome.
