It's about to get worse guys. Ever notice it happens at the beginning of every driving season??? Series of explosions rocks Texas City refinery A series of explosions rocked the bp Amoco plant in Texas City. ABC13 Eyewitness News (3/30/04 - TEXAS CITY, TX) A shelter in place has been issued for residents in Texas City after a series of explosions rocked the area. According to eyewitnesses the first blast at the BP Amoco chemical plant occurred around 7:15pm. Some witnesses say there were at least four explosions - the fourth being the loudest. According to B.C. Clawson with the Texas City Emergency Management, the fire occurred in the furnace area. After the explosion, hydrocarbon feed stock was burning off. It doesn't appear the smoke is toxic, but authorities issued a shelter in place order. Residents in the area should stay indoors. Police have shut down State Highway 146 near the plant. Texas City firefighters are trying to get a handle on the flames and some witnesses say the flames are beginning to die down a bit. "We're about five miles away where the incident occurred and we were standing out on the porch and saw the explosion and saw a big burst of flames right off the bat," said eyewitness Steve Letterman. All workers have been accounted for, and no injuries have been reported. Stay with ABC13 Eyewitness News for the latest on this developing situation. (Copyright © 2004, KTRK-TV)

Sorry for beating a dead horse, but reading this news story makes want to go over there and kill all those... things. I have Jewish ancestry... But even I think we need to set up CAMPS and EXTERMINATE the **** that infests that land... or bomb the **** out of it... This isnt HUMAN behavior... this isn't how an "honorable soldier" behaves... if this is what thier "god" looks favorably upon, then somehow "he" needs to be destroyed, too... pardon me, but I'm really pissed... Iraqis Drag Bodies Through Streets After Attack By Michael Ge**** FALLUJA, Iraq (Reuters) - A crowd of cheering Iraqis dragged charred and mutilated bodies through the streets of the town of Falluja Wednesday after an ambush on two vehicles that witnesses said killed at least three foreigners. In a separate attack one year after the U.S.-led war on Iraq (news - web sites) that overthrew Saddam Hussein (news - web sites), five American soldiers were killed when a roadside bomb was detonated beside their convoy west of Baghdad, the U.S. army said. The Falluja violence began when two four-wheel-drive vehicles were attacked by guerrillas on a main road in the town, 32 miles west of Baghdad. A crowd then set the vehicles ablaze and hurled stones into the burning wreckage. Television pictures showed one incinerated body being kicked and stamped on by a member of the jubilant crowd, while others dragged a blackened body down the road by its feet. The footage showed at least three people lying dead, while some witnesses said that four were killed. It was not clear how many people were in the vehicles. As one body lay burning on the ground, an Iraqi came and doused it with petrol, sending flames soaring. At least two bodies were tied to cars and pulled through the streets, witnesses said. "This is the fate of all Americans who come to Falluja," said Mohammad Nafik, one of the crowd surrounding the bodies. Some body parts were pulled off and left hanging from a pole, while two incinerated bodies were later strung from a bridge over the road and left dangling there. It was unclear who was traveling in the vehicles, both four-wheel drives of the type used by foreign contractors, journalists, civilian members of the U.S.-led coalition and some military personnel. Witnesses said they saw anywhere between four and eight people in the cars before they were attacked. Some of the victims were wearing civilian clothes, flak jackets and were armed, witnesses said, but that was not clear from the television footage. One of those killed had fair hair and was wearing khaki trousers and a white T-shirt. As the victims lay burning, a crowd of around 150 men chanted "Long live Islam" and "Allahu Akbar" ("God is Greatest") while flashing victory signs. Falluja has been one of the most violent, restive towns in Iraq since the U.S.-led occupation began. There are almost daily attacks on U.S. military convoys in the area.
Yo, burndup, what would you be doing if Chinese 'liberators' were on your street in Burndbank? Think about it for a second. We got fed a pack of lies about Iraq, and like the gullible Americans we are we followed lemming like into a situation that was 100% unneccessary. You think things are bad now, just wait until you see the next wave of distrguntled Islamists that come creeping out of the woodwork, woodwork that was American made. In no way am I justifying the action of terrorists, but these guys in Iraq are fighting a guerrilla war in response to their homeland being invaded. Don't forget Hussein was an American creation to begin with.
Now that's f***ed up I've heard lots of people say to just bomb the sh*t out of them and make the whole damn place a parking lot. Starting to not sound too bad. BTW reg in Dallas: from 1.57 to 1.85 depending on what part of town.
Whether or not we needed to intervene... Whether or not these people were contractors rebuilding infrastructure... or CIA death squads for that matter, The brutality of the manner in which they were killed sickens me. Shoot them if you must, kill them if you must, but respect them. Perhaps I have been lead to beleive what I beleive, but that doesn't change the fact that by all outward appearances, THESE ARE SAVAGES. And yes, if the chinese invade, I'll be on a rooftop with a Druganov, but I wont be mutilating corpses like ******* jeffry dahmer. My apologies, though, to you Nads, as I know that what you beleive is not what these things beleive.
[ QUOTE ] oil companies that create a bottleneck by not having enough refineries. [/ QUOTE ] Guess I predicted that one just fine. What a friggin surprise. Guess they'll just have to raise prices more till they build a new one. I also predict Christmas will fall on the 25th this year.
A. Blame ****ing OPEC for the $35 a barrel B. Blame ****ing Kerry and the other Demo****heads for voting for the 1994 Clinton $.50 gas tax increase. Plus he wants even more taxes on it. C. Blame Kerry and the ****ing tree huggers for keeping the Artic virtually untapped. Meanwhile we depend upon OPEC even more than in 73. D. Blame yourselves for driving gas guzzlers. E. Quit ****ing whining and buy a bicycle if you cant afford fuel. F. Correct about Heinz. What doesnt get printed is that the Heinz company was a leader in moving jobs offshore, they have been in China for 20 years. Only ~20 Heinz plants remain in the US. G. Get an education and a real job. H. Blame Bush for keeping your sorry ***es safe. I. Get off the ****ing computer and actually do some real work on company time.
Sorry to lower myself to reply to a political post, but if anybody invaded MY country, because they didn't like the way it was run, i would probably blow them up and drag their sorry burnt up ***es thru MY streets. Just think about the big picture, not the biased bigoted political garbage you read in newspapers.
Some of you guys talk like access to petroleum products is a RIGHT. This is a free market, man. "The law in it's majestic wisdom allows the poor as well as the rich to steal food and sleep under bridges" Maybe you should all move to Mexico where the fuel industry is state- owned and regulated. $3.75US a gallon in Coahilla, reight across the river from where I live.
1.65 to 1.75 here in broke *** arkansas, I was in colorodo a couple of weeks ago and had to pay 1.85 at one spot and at least 1.70 everywhere else. I drove the 53 to work this morning and used 1/4 tank of gas one way.....**** i'm going to go broke......Will work for Gas money.
YEAH! I'm tired of this rip off. I'll show those *******s. I'm going out in the back yard and drill an oil well, then I'll build a refinery in the kitchen. That ought to make my gas under $100 a gallon. Or maybe I'll just convert every thing to electricity, where does that come from anyway?

Blame everybody but dont look in the mirror - Now I know why Ryan has his Rule about NO Politics - it will divide us faster than whether a fibergl*** body is traditional. ps-dont tell the boss
Not sure if any AZ people chimed in. Anywhere from $1.60 in Tucson to $1.99 in Phoenix, but it has been on the way down. Any mention of higher prices sends them up about $.30 instantly though. We don't have any gouging laws related to that.
Wow, I didnt mean to open up a can of worms or to go political. I was just curious about gas prices around the country.
[ QUOTE ] Wow, I didnt mean to open up a can of worms or to go political. I was just curious about gas prices around the country. [/ QUOTE ] Then why didn't you "just" ***le it "curious about gas prices around the country?"? You use a volatile ***le you get volatile responses. I can't figure any fair reason why Tucson gets gas for 25% less than here... other than ripping us off because we need it almost as much as water (which costs even more than gas per gallon, bottled) to function here. We have oil and refineries right here, so it's not a cost of delivery excuse.
Dont get me wrong I do think oil companys are robbing us blind. I didnt think this would go political. My mistake and I appoligize.

burndup, I hate those ****ers too, and I think their way of fighting is cowardly, but that's all they've got. And believe me there's more to come. I'm just questioning the whole debacle from the beginning. Why the hell are we trying to democtratize a people who only respect iron fisted thugs as legitimate authority? The Afghani invasion situation I can understand, there was plenty of evidence that Al Qaeda's home base was in that country, but Iraq, c'mon? Having said that, both the Afghanis and Iraqis have successfully repelled foreign powers many times before. And if we're serious about having success in these hellholes, we'd better be willing to put 100s of 1000s of more troops in those places. Short of nuclear bombs there's no other way of gaining the upper hand, and I know some of you favor that possibility. These folks will never be our friends, but with our skewed foreign policy we're well on the way to making ALL of them our mortal enemies. PS I also believe that when hunting animals the only fair way to do it is on the animal's terms. That way we can really see if a human can beat a bear with his own two hands. ****, I need to shut the **** up, I'm getting tired.
****in A Right 286!!! Blame everybody but dont look in the mirror WTF does that have to do with the price of gas? I drive what I want and when I want; that is the Northern New England perspective, not *** land, PC Boston. If you mean my "I" comment; Im at the top of the food chain here, I own the biz.
Hankcash...............here in Rapid City "they" are trying to outlaw LAPDANCES!!!!!!!! Calling em pros***ution? WTF?

Well I gotta say MY 02 cents **** IRAQ Bring our Boys Home.Let them kill themselves, always have and always will. **** FOREIGN OIL Man up OUR oil reserve in our own country. Man it with union oil workers. Get rid of all these self serve gas station minimarts. Go back to the Mom and Pop gas stations that clean your winshield and check yer water and oil! Yea with 2 to 3 work bays with lifts and mechanics and good old hand numbing solvent tanks. OK Ill shut up and go to bed now.----FEDER
Allright, one more and I'll drop it too... **** needs to change so OUR govt stops setting landmines that it marches its people thru... Fuel industry needs to go back to a true SUPPLY and DEMAND economy, which brings us to... Fuel/automotive industry needs to INNOVATE to put forth new technology that will embrace biodiesel and viable hydrogen fuel cell technology. There will always be a need for gasoline, but our daily lives shouldn't have to be depedant on it. We need to be able to break OPEC's back, or at least bring them to their knees and keep them there. If Iraq is truly this generation's Viet Nam, lets have our little Mei Lai party and then walk out and let them self destruct... Anything left in the bomb bays should be disposed of over Mogadishu on the flight home... allright, I'm gonna try to not let this piss me off any more... Last time I bought 91 over the weekend it was $2.30
