Where can a guy find a spacer to put 35 ford wheels on buick drum conversion. And how well does it work being spaced out that much ?? Thanx
Vern Tardell has them. Your buick drums most likely use 46/48 style "outboard" hubs http://www.verntardel.com/catalog/wheels.html
He's going to need more than just those spacers. The bolt pattern on a 35 Ford wheel is kinda down in a hole that the ford drum goes into. To put those wheels on a buick drum He's gunna need about an 1 1/2" spacer/adaptor and also need those little rings so you can put those wheels on a flat surface. We're working on getting some spacers made just for this purpose that will integrate the little ring into the 1 1/2" spacer, And yes, they'll be just fine spaced out that much. Jimmy McLean
Any word yet on progress of these "integrated" wheel spacers? I'll be in need of a set and don't care for useing two pieces if it can be avoided. Thanks.
