I started monday (training)running a Laser CNC at a local fabrication company. At first I was wondering what the hell did I got myself into, but as the week goes on I'm beggining to feel more comfortable with it. Hopefully this will be the last job I'll have to get. Congrats on the new work. A laser that's just pretty flash gordon. I spent the day interviewing myself, I think I talked to every engineer and design tech at the place I'm trying to get on with. Maybe we'll both get lucky.

congrads on the job. so do you think they will let you do your own custom brackets,ect as a bonus benifit. i know how much i miss the mills at my old job. Trout

I have been interviewing guys for an Engineering postion for the last 3 weeks! I have yet to find someone qualified enough to hire on. Not sure if any of you guys looking are building Engineers, but I have a building coming up now and in right in the middle of a start up. the postion is for a high rise building engineer in Los angeles. hope im not high jacking the orginall post. pm me if interested.
i just got hired as a permanent employee (was a temp for 7 months), city fleet department. like you said i hope this is it, i'm also too old to be begging for a job........ and i'm completely burned out on the public sector (and a lot of shops are slow around here). so good luck to all..........
