This is where I got my replacement rocker panels from. They are nice pieces.

I can attest to that, when he let me sit in the thing, i could barely close the door without my knee getting munched into the steering wheel. For anyone who wants to imagine what it would be like, next time your in your car put your feet up on the dash just under the steering wheel, and its pretty much the same feeling :p

not meant for long hauling, hopefully with mine i can find the extra space, somewhere, to be comfortable, its a long drive for us canucks to go down there and enjoy your guys' car shows.

    Hey Burgy,

Im in the same boat, building a 36 Chopped 7" with a custom made chassis. I built my own chassis to get the cab as low as possible and still have leg room. I used 2 x 4 tubing, as most do but when it gets to the firewall, it cuts in tight to the bellhousing and trans, then straightback to the rear crossmember behind the cab. Then I used 2 x 2 tubing to build outriggers off the chassis to support the cab.

So when you open the doors, the floorpan is all the way down at the sill plate, not 7"+ inches over it. And it can still be as low to the ground as you want it to be.

I have not takes pics since i put the outriggers on, and I have the cab bolted to it as i just chopped it. When I pull the cab back off ill upload pics.

    Good Luck
