My first car was a '51 Cranbrook 4 door sedan. It was a one owner with less than 25,000 miles in absolutely perfect shape with cane seat covers over the mohair seats since new. Paid $200 for it. Great little car but quite slow with a flat head six. It was dubbed the "413" for the hot Mopar motor of the day that was its antithesis. Man, it had a beautiful faux wood walnut dash with a hugh highly chromed radio and how'bout that back seat? I trimmed the wheels in red with port-a-walls and full stock wheel covers that I was forever foraging out of the ditches as hey would pop off on heavy cornering. I remember racing Kenny in his 51 Ford business coupe around the lake roads side by side and putting it on two wheels. His V8 flat head was a lot faster but I gave him a cornering lessen that he still remembers! He helped me go back and retrieve the wheel covers.
