I got an e-mail from one of the guys at Rod & Custom today... it seems that he is kinda bummmed that there weren't too many "traditional" hot rods that signed up for the Ego-Rama this year... he also eluded that it would be cool if more people from the HAMB could sign up, (send a nice pic in and a description etc.)... Now DRD57 is in for sure... Denise I ***ume is signed up and we are going to try our dangdest to vote her in too... but there also has to be other hard chargin' hot rodders out there that are willing to have the week of their life time! So, if you are so inclined... send a pic to R&C... you can even e-mail them... but the deadline is 10 days from now. Good luck! Sam.
BobK aka: FattRod, is also signed/signing up as well and plans to participate with his new '52 ragtop. It would be so cool if 3 out of the 6 contestant, or MORE, were HAMB members. They'll have to rename it the HAMB Ego-Rama.
I'd sign up but I'm sure that a current pic of the Chrysler would get me rejected no matter how many votes I got. BTW get a list of the registered HAMBers up so we can vote them in. I know enough local rodders to help swing the vote, I'm sure that other HAMBers have the same clout where they are located.
Cool! I think they are probably getting too many average Joe hot rods and kustoms... and need a "rat rod" or two thrown into the mix... ok, TRADITIONAL hot rod thrown into the mix. sam.

Sammie, What a great photo...can't remember gas prices like that. Per Qt. was it? I'd love to do the Ego but there just isn't enuff vacation time, but next year I plan to be retired. Maybe...neat to consider anyway. Charlie

David, send a few photos of your roadster with a bio of not only yourself but of the car as well. Lots of details to ensure the powers that be that your a die hard hot rodder and a fun guy to be around. They want folks they're going to have a good time with since it's a week long adventure. No sticks in the mud allowed.
