He's so dam'n busy with his gas station/foodmart that he can't get to the computer, so i'm going to help him out and let you know that he's not pushing up daisys , and he does have some diabolical projects cooking in the lab. One of them is Top secret, seldom seen on the street yet ,cept to shake out the bugs as it gets worked in to shape. He's gettin his roadster ready for "Viva Las Vegas" , so that'l more than likely be it's debut . He picked up a coupe for his young-on off a trailer that had pulled off the freeway for gas, and is in the process of puttin that together. (I won't elaborate on his storys to much cause he likes telling them the way he does best). He gets off work and has fun with his kids and the other gearheads around the area just puttin around on minybikes on the unmolested streets of Boron. In closing the Ol' Doc is living his dream the way "Docfranknstein" can only do. "Hip"
Good to hear man! Did you show him these pics yet? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=340475&page=&view=&sb=5&o=&fpart=all&vc=1 Just wondering what he thinks, after all, he was my inspiration!
Man. Really great to hear. Me and the boys have been wonderin' about him and are fixin' to get out there to pay him a visit. Maybe sometime after the VLV crunch. Thanks so much for the update. -jf
Hey, Can someone post his address to the gas station here again. Maybe some people going to VLV can stop by. I've been going to Cal City the last few months to go dirt bike riding. It might not be to far to stop in and say hi. Thanks, 59sled
What you need to do to get to his place, is just make your way onto Hwy 58. Coming from Saugas (up the 14 fwy), you'll get onto the 58 as you p*** through Mojave. If your coming from the East you'll jump on the 58 from Barstow. Once on the 58 , You'll just watch for the Boron Ave. exit which you will then procede South to 20 muleteam rd. and take a left you proceed down the street and you can't miss it! (only gas station in town). It will be on the left hand side. I went to look for a pic of the grand opening post i did but could find it. Well thats the info anyway. I'm sure he'd dig seeing some H.A.M.B.ers pull in to visit. Plowboy, i told him to get on and take a look, cause i have'nt been able to get out there in a long time now. Sad, i know.
I just talked to him yesterday, we're going mini bike riding soon. actually he has a real bike me and his kids will be on mini bikes.
Hip- could ya tell Mike Hi from Me- [I stopped last fall and found him by accident] whilst me and missus were returning home form Cali on vacation!Kenny
Glad to hear the station is doing so well! Sure do miss seeing his project updates. I'll bet the locals aren't quite sure what to think about Doc and his projects!
