I got a chance to pick up a 55 f-100 y-block truck for 500 bux and its a runner and in real decent shape . My wifes been bitching about all my cars turcks and cycles I got stashed around the place and at this point I dont think she would really understand another but dam 500 bux is cheap . What should I do ???

Or..........buy the truck and sell something else off to pay for it.......................like the wife's shoe collection. unless she's paying 1/2 of everything i don't think she has a vote..........but it doesn't really matter your going to pay either way, i would choose the one that doesn't whine.
Mine told me to "get rid all that old crap" .......mostly bikes back then...or she was leaving. So I bought a new place ,moved it all out, then moved in the new place myself, sold the old one while she was still living there...she has never spoken to me since, but I still have all my junk, plus some.

How many other vehicles/ projects do you already have? If it's less than 5 AND you have the room for the truck, I'd say go for it. If she really complains figure out which one you can live without and get rid of it. Buy a few of those pop up tent car port things if she's worried how the yard looks.

In all honesty, the truck could keep ya warm on a cold night, and in the long run, it'll be cheaper for the truck. Just think how many tires you could buy for the price of her shoes and purses! Seriously, if you can pick it up cheap, I'd do it and then stash it. Sounds like she's whining or complaining because she's neglected. Paint it up for her and make her part of the overall decision. If she does throw a huge fit, get a newer and younger wife.
Show her your avatar, get the truck, then take her out for a good dinner and kiss hers till she gets over it.

Well, the saying goes..."If you have to ask". I'd think real hard about this one. Do you need a truck? What shape are your current projects in? Oh, and if you make a deal to get it....stick to the deal. This from a guy who got divorced 17 years ago. I have 25 vehicles and no women. I could handle fewer cars and more women.
