I love the combo of the squarish roof and cowl (in profile) and the swoopy rear quarters. Sort of like welding a 31 and a 34 together. That chop is spot on. Also, while you're in the dare to be different mode, definitely go with the underslung.

    I'm watching this one

sorry it took so long to respond, i had no idea this post got dragged back up.

sadly i must admit that this car hasnt progessed at all since my last update, i have been busy trying to finish up a couple other projects so i can sell them and get some money to do this one right. i hope to get started on it in the next couple of weeks after i finish my 50 cadillac.

thanks for all positive responses, trust me i cant wait to see this thing rolling either and i will keep you all updated on it once i get moving on it again.

When you get around to trying to find a decklid.....

That coupe was a rumble seat as it has that type of drip rails.

The rumble lids are mostly all the same on 28-31 and maybe 32 plymouth. desoto and the smaller chryslers. (the 28-29 dodge used different body stuff so measure first) But the early ply, desoto & small chryslers have square corners. The later bodies like yours might have a small cheater piece of sheetmetal in the upper corners that hide a square corner joint. That piece comes out easy if you settle for an older square corner lid. (mine was a 31 ply that I took those pieces out)

The business coupe lid is longer on the older ones, not sure about 30-32.

    ;) Nice work
