It's spring and I thought it would be appropriate to show some progress shots of the Brookwood. It's painted 66 Ford springtime yellow. I've been straightening stainless trim , installing weatherstripping and glass etc. Still waiting for the bumpers to come back and saving a few pesos to buy a windshield but it'll be driving soon...
Wow, she is amazing, hats off to you man, she looks perfect! Wonder how she would look with chrome spiders, and 2 chrome trim rings for the middle and outer, from wheel kid...
That car is RAD! My second vehicle was a '69 Chevy shortbed painted "buttercup" yellow. Pretty much the same color. Very cool!
looks good cant wait till we dig ours out its a sedan delivery. if you kn ow were there is a windsheild we need one thanks jeff
Classy colour for that car,too cool.I noticed the background terrain before i noticed the Kamloops location.I was born there in 1962.
That thing is going to be killer when you get it back together, the color is so cool. Stock '59 Impala hub caps would look good.
Yeah, that's a Ford Color, same as my Ranchero. I like it. BTW - That looks like beautiful country in the background
I showed my wife the pics, she has a '60 Brookwood too. She's not too keen on yellow but she did say, "how come our stuff looks like crap?" It does, now even moreso.
Nads....My wife was less than impressed when I took her to look at it when I bought it. The look on her face was "are you sniffing glue again ?" I had to find her a cool one off the HAMB before she wanted to have anything to do with it. I showed her that Copper/rust one with the white roof that was at VLV... she thought it would be OK then. Ranchero...It is pretty nice country here, but we're losing all our pine trees to beetles, so the hills are turning red with dead pine needles.
Jethro, That's an awesome color. As soon as I saw it, especially with the color matching rims, it made me think of a Matchbox car that my kids have. Check out the pictures. The rims are pretty similar to the body color with a hint of green. I think it really sets them off. It's almost like the crocus yellow/laurel green combo on '56 Chevys, just a little more subtle than the laurel green. Ed PS- The colors in the pictures aren't exactly right.
