Hey Jay...bobbo's a riot aint he, super fun guy to be around and amazingly talented. I had a blast visiting with him at Bob Bond's jam last year. I bought a couple of his brushes too, but I'm determined to make my series 10 so what I want before I get too serious about any other striping brushes. It felt more natual to me than the kafka scroller, but I have not spent much time with either to be honest. When I start focusing on scroll style striping I'll give both a good workout. I'd suggest you hit as many panel jams as you can. I learn more in an afternoon surrounded by pros then I would in months or years of trial and error. Hey guys I was talking to Bobbo tonight and he asked me to write a couple of things on this thread...The first one is he was referring to Bond as being a great teacher..he was trying to pull a quote from someone so his response would have reflected it..but it didnt come out..like he wanted...the second thing was on his brushes..they are not long liners... they were made to be a design brush that allows you to do some killer design work...If you have any questions give him a call

Hey thanks. Ron was great. Learned lots and also spent most of the weekend hanging out. The only problem is this three fingered bracing is kind of tough with a broken thumb now. I agree An all around great guy Ron is.
Bob Bond teaches the brush is held with 3 fingers, with two to support your hand.Supposed to be easier to turn the brush that way.Works for him,I can't do it. I figure the brush is small enough to hold with two fingers, and three fingers gives more support than two. MUCH easier.
oh I was holding it with my index and my thumb and supporting with my pinky and the other hand...but I was show to support with my other remaining fingers instead of just tucking them inside.
John Hannukaine show striping with both hands using pinkie fingers on the cover of his book. And that works perfectly for SOME jobs, quicker and easier than switching to a Mahl Stick. 99.99% of the time,3 fingers down works just fine.
