Every time I try to post a picture I screw it up somehow, but here goes..... Today, I fabbed up a set of quarter panel patches and got one installed along with a rocker panel that was taken off the car 25 years ago.
The build plan, is bare bones basic..... stock body, '39 engine, ****** and rear end. Wide five wheels, body in primer, everything else original paint and or rust. Can someone tell me what I did wrong with the pictures?
You need to put the adress of the photo ... in the photo window. On the 14th slot ( going from the left to the right ) there is a postage stamp looking box with a mountain on the photo ... click on it and place the photo adress there. Where's the chicken ?? Looking good ... looks like you will be 3W riding before I am ... Randy
That car is going to be perfect!... Actually it already is. Whats the story with the twisted up grille shell on the wall?
I can't post pics. History? I was originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba. 25 years ago an ad came out in the Winnipeg Free Press.... " '32 coupe. $300" I drove an hour across town to see a bare body, two doors (one was a gutted skin only, a trunk lid sitting crooked on a '34 frame. The firewall was a solid bulkhead of 12 ga welded in. The cowl vent was leaded. No floor was in it but torch marks and remains of brackets indicated that at one time the body had been channeled 13 inches over some frame. That was it. A buddy who was 10 years older told me it was too far gone. I left it. Six years later, the same buddy called and asked if I still wanted a '32 coupe. I said yeah so he told me about one. I drove to look at it. Guess what, same car. I bought it this time for $1000. Over the years, I've collected a lot of parts and some other bodies (not 3w). I've started in on building this car at least five times, only to get pissed off that it wasn't turning out how I wanted. So I've been acquiring tools and skills, so I hope this time is the right time. It's actually good that it's taken me so long to get around to this project. At one time it was going to be your typical SoCal rod 350/350, 3"chop, '39 taillights, etc. Today's vision is a true 40's/50's build.
Hey tin! Things starting to come together! Lookin' GOOD!! BTW - did you find the "chicken" a new roost?
