I can't even imagine how much work goes into something like this quarter scale model of a T-bucket with an actual running V-8 engine. Found it here: http://www.conleyprecision.com/cars.htm
Very cool, but I couldn't figure out if it was R/C, or if after purchasing it, I had to teach a ****ing monkey how to drive.
that t-bucket has been around for awhile. the guy also made an a/c cobra like this. this same guy also made a viper v-10 engine in 1/4 scale. the asking price? (if i remember correctly) something like $200,000.00. check out this guys site. http://www.nvbackflow.com/inprogress/mpegs.htm he has videos of various 1/4 scale engines running that he makes. there's even a flat head type engine, and it sounds wicked.
Is he also quarter scale? If not what's the point? If you can't drive it where's the fun? Nice work though......
Hey there's people out there that wonders why you would rather build a car when you could just buy a new one! There's little sub-cultures all over the universe. Thanks for the link and picture.
1/4 scale is too small to drive! You have to go 3/8 scale to fit an adult in one. and the engine has to go in the trunk area!
I know Ferrari isn't too popular around here....but if you have an appreciation for modeling and/or precision machining, check out this 1/3 scale Ferrari racing car that is fully functional with a running 12 cylinder engine and took 20,000 hours to build: http://mps-sportproto.com/en/modeles.php?num=1#photos here's a video of this amazing model (it's in French but the pictures are cool) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3522234692952701573 And another video/interview in English, but poor picture quality: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5721579124059513186
Any one notice that in the video of the Cobra, the Camera and the car are moving at the same pace and you never see the full car? I think it was being pulled by the camera.
This one might look a little too "billet", but it sounds awesome.... http://www.weberprecision.com/ Just click on the "V8 Video"......
