It seemed as "Fast Freddy" turned in to "Flat Freddy" later in the evening, maybe it ran or maybe somebody knifed it!!! Btw Great show Axle, I got around 700+ pictures and there where so many cool cars!!! Anyone knows the owner of this 49? Plymouth? It was one of my favorites!!! Mikael
All the way from Calgary thru two snow storms along a 10,000 foot great Divide with no heater... I'm sure Del and Pat will have stories to tell.. Just for the trip, New tires, new rad, new points and ignition
Its a '47 plymouth and it belongs to my bro johnny custom of the emperors car club. Ill send him the compliment!
The dead body in the car was called Fast Freddy! Dunno who owns it, I'd guess its the guy who built the other 'Art Car' that was there last year or the year before?
The car had california plates and I have seen him at shows in Cali. I can only guess he trailers that thing up this way. You guys can keep him down there!
Hey Dave, great to meet you and the better half. Cool pics, too. I saw that 'Freddy' thing drive off the back of a trailer on Friday (I think) and couldn't believe my eyes. Also saw the owner sort the flat out on Sunday morning, ready for the long journey back onto the same trailer. This was my third VLV and I'm not sure I'll be returning. Seemed to be a bit of a strange atmosphere around with some folk, at the car show and inside the Gold Coast. Saw a few flair-ups between people that I hadn't ever seen before. Maybe I just hadn't noticed them before. Thanks to the organisers though, a mammoth task I'm sure.
Glad I could finally put faces to some names, like I told Koppak...I had a blast... Glad you all made it home safe. The accommodation offer still stands BTW
Enjoyed the posts and the pics. Some amazing stuff and nice to be able to blow these pics up and check out the detail... Thanks for posting them.
