UPDATE, April 4, 2007
FOUND!
Good morning all, Just a brief message that our car has been found in Kent, Washington. The trailer was abandoned with the car inside then was picked up by an impound yard owner. Sad news, the car has been totally stripped and cut in half, they only left the shell. All we know about the trailer is that it is covered with WD40 and towable, other than that no information. As they say, "All good things must come to an end" but this is not what we wanted; too much time, effort, sleepless nights, verbal arguments, love, and not to mention money, when into this labor of love to have it destroyed. May our ENGINE 36 rest in peace along with my brother, Bill. Thank you everyone for all of your caring and the support you have shown us during this ordeal. Actually we are both relieved that the car has been found, even in the condition it's in, so we can move on, get another car and be back on the road again. Deb and Larry P.S. If I missed anyone I'm sorry. Please pass the word along to all. Thanks! Deborah Kline

You guys are heartless.
Just because a fellow car guy has a car that you dont necessarily like mean that they DESERVE such mistreatment.
Seriously..thee attitude of the new and young people here are really turning me off. You guys just dont get it.. PJ

I dont care if its ugly to some or a trailer queen. Someone should have thier dick cut off. A thief is a thief.. Ive been thru the stolen shit with all my tools in my garage. If I could just find the thief and fuck him up for the agravation factor alone id be happy. If nothing else insurance done properly will cover everything but it dont cover the pain in the ass.

9. That sucks but if you drive em more and trailer less you would probably be enjoying it at this time.
Still doesnt change the fact that people are assholes out there for stealing stuff.

Your last line does not make the first statement OK...He is still a car guy and he had his car stolen....I dont like Model A pickups or 57 Chevys but if they ever got stolen from you I would never say they are ugly...I would feel bad for you and not slag you...I am trying to understand why all the negativity on here, ITS GETTING REALLY OLD.....OH ya by the way I am 33 and have no attitude towards anyone...Being cool is about being helpfull, and if you cant say nothing nice dont say it unless asked for your oppinion and he did not ask if you liked his car....Some people on here just piss me off....

That really sucks, I hope I never feel your pain.
We have so much more invested in our cars than the price of the parts we bought.

Is it a severe party-foul to ask if you have an "after" picture?

Sorry for asking but why did they cut it in two? Was it to get the interier out quicker?
Just asking

Why do you people have to rag on a guy for the way his car looks??? I dont like rusty shit, or flaked roofs or the way you comb your greasy ass hair but i dont say anything because you are a car guy and that is what we want on here, car guys, so at least respect the others.........

So you act like that cause others do it huh, cool.

Any old car that gets stolen, chopped, and basically destroyed really sucks, especially for the owner(s). Hell, even if it was someones prized civic, it still sucks. People spend lots of time, money, and emotion fixing up their rides...and to have it taken illegally by a bunch of thiefs blows ass, I am sure everyone can agree on that. Thiefs have no backbones!

I am not, and I won't point the fingure at Shane or anybody in particular here but we would need to ignore the vast majority of people on the hamb.....

It just seems that 99% of the people on the hamb are just wannabees with absolutely no respect for anybody and a 'better than thou' attitude....

My hat goes off to the 1% here that actually hold this ship together But It has been a long time since there was an inkling of respect shown to anybody here on the hamb board.

Truth is, it's a very small minority of people here that actually respect those who are responsible for the considerate help with all the 'stupid' questions that get posted.

These are the people that can look past the Ford or Chevy emblem on the build and say, "nice door gaps"

...Then there's the vast majority of wannabes on the hamb that seem to have grown up with the attitude that at 30, they have 'been there done that' and everybody else is an idiot for never having experienced as much in life as they have by age 33. Do you think your gradfather is an idiot?

There is no respect for anything or anybody by the 'wannabes' the generate 99.9% of the useless drivel, complaining and put downs on the forum.

But the price of admission to the hamb is free so it attracts a lot of monkeys, wyotech attitude fatheads and wannabes. Your grandfather never got his 'Lifetime" of experiance from a 9 month wyotech course and he probably considers himself as 'still learning'.

You know, A person would be very hard pressed to find even a handful of threads on the hamb that are not full of "your car sucks" attitude.

Does anybody care that it took the owner/builder 20 hours to carefully scrub all the lettering off the sidewalls of his tires to get that clean look??

Does anybody care that the car was a properly restored rusted hulk that took 1000 hours to bring back to mint??

When the wannabes hurl insults at a small picture of a car on their screen from the safety of there bedroom desktop,
They are insulting the craftsmen that spent 30 hours on the door gaps so that they were perfect. 30 hours? and Why? because the people that actually restore and build other peoples cars care.
They care enough to put their best foot forward even if the customers car is not there favourite 71 Chevelle.

And the wannabes will never experience the satisfaction of doing the job right with any kind of quality in mind.

Hell, "Ratrod" is a term most often used to describe a car that somebody rushed thru in building, crappy welds are the norm on most of the "ratrod" because people can't weld and/or think that it takes to much time to actually make a good weld then finish it smooth, besides they have a playstation that needs attention.

Wannabes are the people that don't know how to get off there ass and actually do something creative or do the job right.

So you welded some crappy welds on your ratrod... Does that make you a better person or the worlds foremost expert on actually painting a car??

get of your asses and step down from your high horse.

There's a reason you have two ears and only one mouth.

Shut up and learn to be tolerant of all that surrounds you or

just Shut Up.

Sorry, I got a chuckle out of reading this first after the initial post. Nobody likes to see anyone get anything stolen. $250 beater that someone needs to get to McD's for their job or a $75,000 show piece.

Everyone needs a laugh now and then even if it came at someones great expense.

Yeah, I'm absolutely convinced the ratio is a hell of a lot better than that.

But, talking shit about the style of build or that the car was on a trailer when it got stolen seems like a weird thing to do, IMO..

More like kicking a man when he is down.

And because of all the Drama on this Thread, I'm Closing it.
