Hell yeah it is on again! Just checked the website http://www.rocknrodson66.com/ and they have the new date set. Same location in Bloomington at the Interstate Center. Lets pack this place this year, mark the date on your calendar, and I'll fire up the grill again for the post show burgers and beer. For those who haven't been to the past 2 shows, well it has a ton of potential to be an outstanding show. I'll be there. Bill
Its an awsome show and should have had a much bigger turn out than it did last year. Barris and Winfield were both there along with many famous cars you probly wont see together in one place again plus they had JR. Brown and Lee Rocker I can only hope this years will be as good
Im just up the road in Peoria, are there any other Bloomington / Peoria area gatherings going on. I'd show up to a cruise.
I talked to Larry last week and he is in the process of trying to book a couple of big name bands people would like to see. My vote was for Soicial Distortion and Motorhead! What would everyone else like to see? I will p*** it along to Larry. Don't forget about the Pinstriper's Jamboree as well. I had our very own Safarinut stripe the spacetruck there 2 years ago. I'll bet there were 20 awesome pinstripers there last year. They do the charity auction there as well. There is also a big air conditioned room full of some of the nicest customs you could ever find. I got my picture taken in the Drag U La last year. Now that is cool! I know Dave Shuten's "Astro Sled" will be there this year and what other cool *** customs we can dig up. I may bring the Atomic Punk up there as a project as well if I can get off my lazy *** and work on it. I believe Zenor's Coupe will make an appearance as well. Hopefully monsterflake can talk Bill Bierman into bringing the pink freak out as well. Gene Winfield will be there again this year and who knows who else. Last year Gene, George Barris, Jack Walker, and Darryl Starbird were all there with some of their cars. Don't miss this one kids! It was one of my favorite shows last year. Kind of like the pileup, but warmer. Ha Ha Ha

Sounds like a cool event! Wouldn't a "Vintage Stuff Only" swap meet make a great addition (and probably draw people in from all over!!) I agree, Social Distortion would be a great band. See you there-I'll be driving the Model A fourbanger over!- GZ
I talked to Larry again today, he got some of the bands booked. Unfortunately no Motorhead or Social D. ha ha ha Maybe next year. So far he has Deke ****erson, the Blasters, and Commander Cody. He says that they will get the internet updated soon. I am looking forward to the hot tub party with Monsterflake. Who is bringing the bubbles? As for other gatherings in the area, I don't really know. I don't get out much, so I guess that means there is always something going on at my place. Ha Ha Ha
This is a show not to be missed, a lot of old customs that I have never seen before except in the early mag's, I cold not believe some of the cars that were in the buildings. I met Larry this year in Detroit what a great guy and he wants nothing more then to make this show happen and for it to continue to grow but the only way to make that happen is for us to show up. I always here there is so much going on in texas and or california but here is a show that can be the next pile up or round up so get out in the garage and get those cars ready to be there and quit complaining about no where to go in the midwest.

Nick Giacalone is gonna be there again as well. I got to meet him last year and he was one of the coolest guys i ever met. Thats cool he got the Blasters. They are really good. Ive thought about it. and he should try to get The Misfits. Even though it wouldn't be the same without Danzig it would still be pretty damn cool to see em.
ha-ha, i pulled out my dvd of 'streets of fire' just to show my daughter the blasters. we wound up watching all the fight sequences. what a great movie! shhhhh, i'm trying to get a famous old custom and an infamous new custom to be there. stay tuned...
Sounds cool... but I'm going to the Rock N RACE in OH that weekend. Drag races, bands, burlesque... oh yeah!
What hotel is everyone staying at? Last year we stayed at Quality Inn and Suites which was pretty nice but if everyone else is at Ramada we will stay there. Its not as fun if your the only people at your hotel.
I'm looking forward to going again. It was a pretty cool show last year! Besides, it's only an hour or so away................. Tim D.
I'll be there and probably be staying at the Quality Inn again. I'll be driving my 1960 Ford Starliner as I'm one of the feature pinstripers at the Panel Jam. Anyone who wants one of my pinstriping design books or pinstriping design brush.........I'll have them there for sale. Looking forward to meeting a few of you central boys. I met a couple last year. I had a blast last year and I know I'll have one this year. YOU GUYS ARE TOO KOOL! If some of you guys who live closer don't make it, There's names for guys like you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it's a good show.Plowboy, I'm jealous, I didn't know you had your picture taken with Dragula. Maybe this year we could both squeeze into the ****pit for a pic! The Blasters are cool but I was hoping for Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. Seen them a few years ago and they put on a helluva show.
Bobbo, were you hanging out with Charlie Brown and Dawn last year? If so, we went to dinner at that Italian joint in Normal( normal ? ). If not, then hope to meet you this year.
