I was looking for ideas on my 53 today. To tell you the truth it looks like theres not alot out there in the way of 53 Merc hardtops. Seen the JAMCO Merc even got a little inspire from the post Ryan put up on Jimmie Voughns 54 ford. But I just havent seen enough to say for sure wich way i'm gonna go. But i did run across Johnny Rosier's 1953 Mercury. If anyone knows anything about this car let me know more phots anything. Oh I found it on this cool site some of you might know already. Some may not. If not check it out. http://members.fotki.com/Rikster/
I'm digging the Packard??/Lincoln?? headlights. Thats bad ass. But sorry, no info but I am interested. I bet Rikster or 00Mack kno who was the first to oyster on the hood tho.

Here is a picture of fellow Silhouettes member Gary Johnson's cool mild fifties kustom '54 Merc (the red one). And a one from the H.A.M.B. site.
I know this is an old post but I just came across this and Johnny Rosier is my grandfather. I am looking for this car. If you have any info or any pics or just anything on any of Johnny's cars send it to me please scadrfeq@yahoo.com. Thanks in advance!
Interesting car, altogether very tastey, ...the up-sweep on the fore-end of the sidetrim takes a little getting used to, but taken as a whole I think it could grow on ya.
Your car is pretty sweet as is. If you want to "clone" grandpa's car, Start with something a little less.
