Hey, im painting a vintage Peugeot Bicycle, a little OT, but i figured since this info could be useful to when i paint my car id ask the question anyways...wondering how the duplicolor turns out...im gonna make it lugs one colour tubes a different then plan on using lots of clear than wet sanding it to a really shiny finish...anyone think this wont turn out? Talky
duplicolor in itself is good rattle can paint and will probably work fine on a bike BUT it would take alot of cans and very patient tedious work to cover a car and then I doubt it would hold up .Rattle can paint is just too thin to go on thick enough to work well in my opinion. just my 2 cents good luck
If you really care about the finish, but need it to be spray cans, have a paint store mix you some aerosols using real paint. Superior results and true custom colors and finishes are possible. $50 worth of custom aerosols and it'll look like a body shop painted the bike. $100 worth of custom aerosols, and it'll be ready to roll into an indoor show.
im just building the bike as a commuter...but i wanted to makeit look nice as the old paint was chipped and the frame was rusting...so i cleaned it all up and now for some paint...plus i get to learn alot about bondo and primering... another quick question...do i actually ahve to use there primer (duplicolour) didnt notice that part until just now and ive alreadly got 3 or 4 coats and lots of sanding of a different primer...
